Well, the HydroHut we got has its good and bad points. It seems like the mounting straps for the 6 inch blower and filter need to be ordered exclusively off the web site, just like the flange (we checked Lowes and they don't have them.) If you are planning on getting a HydroHut i heard a brand called SunHut is better (heard this after getting the HydroHut) SunHut supposedly has the flange included and the longer straps for less money.
Other than that I am very pleased with the purchase. It if way more roomy than the 2x5 foot closet. It also has a 7 foot ceiling which is very nice. I have my 600 watter in there with the 2x4 tray and my blower. I am thinking about going to a 4 inch blower so it is not as noisy.
All the plants are preparing for budding. Looking good!

Are you sure that the bed lice spray is ok as it may not be ok to consume or smoke something that has been sprayed with that stuff.
This is something that you need to check properly,just in case

From what I have read it is ok. I wanted to kill the spider mite eggs so I used it on top of my neem oil. I only sprayed them with it once, the day I put them into flowering. The only ingrident is contains is permerthrin and that is the ingredient in a lot of other pesticides. I am very carful just to sprat them lightly and prob. wont use it again. I would have prob. been fine sticking to just the neem oil which I will do from now on. To tell you the truth i did notice some irragutarities in the leaves and some died after using it. This is prob not the best thing unless you really need to kill the mites fast. It always seems better to keep everything as organic as possible anyway. Defenitly would not use this durning flowering. Thanks for feedback. BTW I am going to add a variable speed controller for my fan tommrow.I will probably get a carbon filter soon and a thermomiter is also on the shopping list. The grow is looking a lot more promising than when I started for sure!

The only real problem is that some ingredients are not dispersible in food materials and remain in the plant material so that when you smoke it or eat it you poison yourself.

Eating it would be worse for you than smoking contaminated weed.

You wouldn't die or anything probably just feel a bit iccy,headaches etc.
Always use dispersible poisons that are labeled suitable for food plant use i.e. fruit and vegetables.

Thanks for the input nat. I have just been neeming them. Today I went to Lowes and got a light dimmer and hooked my Vortex blower fan up to it and it works like a charm. I can have the fan run at about half speed and it keeps the temp just as cool as running full speed. This is one of the greatest things we have added. It keeps the noise level way down. It still offers enough airflow too as the fan can do 449cfm at full speed. This was only about 15$ out the door. Way better than the one the hydro store sells for $40 and it is on a long cord so I can controll it from the outside. Also it is wierd that 2 of my plants are looking way different than the rest. We will see what heppens.

Some new growth is yellowish from the middle leaf out, and it looks a little bit splotchy. I coultn't find it in the grow FAQ, ideas?

Well, everything is going pretty well. The plants got a little burned from experimenting with the fan speed but they are all doing better now. We are on week 2 of flowering. Have been feeding it big bud, sensibloom, sensical, paranah, and sweet leaf. I will get pictures up when the burn spots go away. Tallest one is over 34inches now!

burn spots are probably an indicator of slite nute burn. never heard of a fan causing burn

Well, I have an air cooled reflector. I got the switch to control the speed of the fan. I was trying to make it quieter and turned the fan a little too low and it got the room too hot and burned some foilage. They are doing really well now and I will get new pics up tommrow.

Always follow these steps:
1. Test bse water ppm
2. If using good water and base is at 0-50 ppm bring solution to 200ppm with sensical grow or bloom (depending on what phase of growth you are in)
3. Add in Additives based on amounts that we have told you or what is on the bottle.
If using bottle directions cut vlues in half. Ex 1tsp/gal = 1/2 tsp per gal
4. Add nutrient (either sensi grow, senis bloom or Connoisseur depending on what phase of growth you are in.
5. ph balance 5.8 for veg 5.5-5.8 for bloom phase

Yeah I know its a shit load of stuff to be using. The people at the hydroshop prop want you to buy a bunch of stuff but if you have the money... I don't have a lot of the stuff yet but will prob try to use this rescipe. I only use sweetleaf, sensigrow, sensibloom,bigbud, overdrive, paranaha and sensical. We will have to see if the nutes are worth it. I am happy with growth so far. Only bad thing is that I burned the plants. Pictures now

Here is the OdorSok that I got. Just like a carbon can filter but only ots 90bux and is real light weight. I also got a bank of t5s that I am going to start to veg soon when my clones are ready. 8 lights by 4 feet. Got it for $150! No heat!
