Hello...

This is thread started to discuss growing MYTHS and if you tried them and they work let us know..

The first Myth Id like to get amoungst is....

Instead of flushing - can you just add a CAP full of undialuted orange cordial to water? The man in my grow shop rekons it adds fruity smell and flavor.. he told me not to buy a flushing product?

Please feel free to comment, discuss or leave new myths for debate...!!

dude you don't have to use a flushing product.

the buds will taste/smell how they're suppose to smell.. naturally. from its genetics.. that's why each strain is different.. and its also why most different strains, smell and taste differently from other strains. Genetics my friend.

secondly, just trying to help.. just use plain water when it comes to to start flushing out your soil. That's the best thing to use.

One of my "favorite" myths is "Aluminum Foil causes hotspots", what a load of crap! I've said it before and I'll say it again - "Nobody has ever suffered from hotspots caused by using aluminum foil as a reflective material!".

It's a virtual impossibility - it would have to be like a ten billion-to-one, odds, coincidence. Besides, foil sucks as a reflective material anyway - it only has an index of something like 40%.

yeah i have been told to use the orange cordial too
i was thinking of using blueberry but anyway
im in R/dwc and am going into flush stage on Tuesday
im thinking that it will add like a carbo load to the water
com on some one does this or tried it we wanna know

I'm in two minds... I appreciate the Genetics of the plant taste and smell are decided on strain and parents etc... And this is coded in their DNA - I assume...

But get a glass of water and drink it - taste's like plain water... add some Fruit cordial and it tastes and smell like fruits.

I don't think the guy in the shop ment that it would change the thc, cbd, height etc - but would add a nice little fruity smell, in his words "bag appeal!"

Thinking about it i dont see what incentive he would have to give me false or bad info - if i try it... and i think it does ruin things im not going to go back to his shop? It was almost like he actually was trying to be really helpful and save me cash, "be open and honest and they'll come back sort of thing".

Additionally judging the guys age and breathing i did kinda of think he had a lot of grows under his belt. lol

If you dont try it you dont know.... we could be on to something here - i see the future... "gin and tonic flavor" , "fish and chip flavor" or the ladies favorite "chocolate".

Im not ready for another couple of weeks - but think im gonna try it on at least one....Now Im wondernig if quality of juice makes a diff.. i.e good "high juice" or cheap "homebrand cordial"......lol

By the way Jimmy - Have you seen slim? not heard from him in a while?

What if it didnt smell or taste like bud.... smelt of say....strawberries - but got you far more baked than anything else ever - would you buy then?

To be fair im hoping its a hint of a smell, rather than totally smelling of say orange!

OK I never really believed this one because its highly unlikely

Can you get your dog high? I mean I have never heard a confirmed result, Would there even be any THC in the smoke to get him high after it was already in your lung? You can't even get high in a hot boxed car so I think that you cannot. But when I try and tell people that they are just really high and think there animals are high, they tell me im bullshitting and they know it works because they have wittnessed it.

ahhh i can confirm this one
last time i was cooking with cannabis i was cooking on the outdoor bbq and i had the big pot going with all my trim and butter going on the boil
i went inside because this part takes time and when i got back the pot had over boiled and spilled down the bbq frame and my 6 year old golden retriver was licking the butter on the frame. well after i freaked out gave her 50 lts of water the fact became apparent that she was stoned as a mother fucker, she could not walk right ,laying around, eating every thing ( i have apples in my yard and fed her food to see if she was ok) she was basically smiling at me
i felt real bad and the effects lasted at least 3 hrs
she was ok after that

Hmmm I think that one needs to be opened for debate.....

In theory i believe they would get mildly relaxed but not "high"... When you inhale the smoke and then blow it back out, imo you lungs dont absorb it all, hence smoke coming back out... i thinks its unlikely that your lungs would be like "LAAADDs.... smoke full of THCn incoming....... just grab the THC not any smoke!"

Dont blow-backs get you high?

Maybe dogs are just unfortunate and dont react the same way as us.... Maaaaaaaan that would be bad - just dog meat!

i dont know about blowing the smoke on em cause i dont do that but a buddy of mine would smoke cones and blow the smoke back into his cats face and he would swear to god that the cat was baked
and when my dog was fucked i was not happy ,i would of cut my left nut off to make sure she was ok

It is plausable, if you feed them edibles.
