DAY 47 of 12/12 - Why dont why plants smell stronger and have more resin production??

Hi Folks,

Got my 2 x WW & 1 x Big Bang at 47 days flowering and they arent smelling that strong and they arent sticky to the touch yet.

Is this normal or could it be down to the high temps in my grow room? - as high as 33c when they peak in the afternoon (when the sun shines on the shed door) tho normally they are between 25-30c.

Also the plants got some of their lower branches polinated by a hermie at 21 days in, could this be causing the lack of resin production?

I have never had a crop go this far - my first attempt was ruined by a hermie plant and i had to chop at 35 days in - tho the plants i chopped then seemed to be stickier than the girls i have at the moment.

Holy shit high temperatures. Yea, that'll kill production of your plant. It doesnt look bad for day 47, really though. Get those temps at 80(f) or lower.

for the torture it sounds like they have been through ,they look beautiful !

There are alot of sweetener type products on the market you can add to your feed

Depending on strain , it may not be a smelly plant until you harvest and dry it out and cure it .
Ithink they look pritty good , very nice

Well Cold temps promote resin according to some, so possibly high temps demotes it?
Either way White Widow should be more resinous, but I can only guarantee this with the original which the original White Widow. Which is now call Black Widow from MrNice Seeds.
I have heard others mention GHS White Widow being nothing like their pictures and description.
Not 100% if thats the GHS's White Widow but I'm guessing since you GHS's Big Bang.
If you want the real White Widow, MrNice will be restocking Black Widow in August. No Fem seeds though since they are inferior

I know mate - really not doing my plants a favour this hot brittish weather!! This is my first (well second if you count the hermies!) attempt at growing mj and i have tried to do it all on a budget - which was cool in the winter / spring but now the summer is here i will need to invest in an ac to get my temps down, problem is the flower room i have is in a coal shed at the back of my house and in the afternoon the sun goes down and just beats on the door of the shed taking it from 27c to 33c. What i am doing at the moment is switching my 600w HPS off at intervals to allow the room to cool down - with a couple of cfl's to keep the place lit while the HPS is off.

Thanks mate - dont get me wrong they look really nice and smell so sweet, im probably worrying without cause its just that i expected to need my carbon filter over my exhaust fan by now but there is no need so far.

Neville and Shantibaba are the breeders of the original white widow,he has to call it black widow now because he sold the copy rights to Arjan at greenhouse.Youve got that ass backwards greenhouses are the knock offs F2s bro...get your info straight!!!!!

They are Seedsman White Widow mate and there are 3 plants in my flowering room at the moment - 2 x WW (both clones but one was an experimental hempy pot type thing which went wrong and as a result became a bit of a runt - brought back from the brink!! The other is the one in the second picture on my original post), 1 x GHSC Big Bang which was fimmed.
Its actually the runt which smells the sweetest!

I have heard of people getting crap seeds from seedbanks, but i think it's usually seeds that the store is just sellin "AS" WW...alot of seed banks places carry alot of different genetics, and they almost usually always open the packages to find the best seeds for themselves. Unless your ordering directly from the seed producer...your never going to be sure about what/or how good it is it is.

Any genetics i have ever grown, i have always gotten right from the source, and i've not been dissapointed in ANY of my grows.

Arjan wasn't around in '93 it was a few other guys running a shop, Nevelle was the original guy i think.

Interesting - you know i have watched all the GHS grow DVDs, strain hunter episodes etc. and you really get the impression Arjan is up himself and that it is more about his ego than the weed - know what i mean? King Of Cannabis - do me a favour, i have had nowt but problems from his Big Bang seeds - only 1 stable plant out of 7 fem seeds so far - the 3 fem seeds i have left are going into the woods as i cant afford to risk any more hermies! in my grow room!!

I grew Arjans trainwreck and it had no smell but it would fuck you up,its some of the best weed Ive grown and Ive grown alot of strains.The smell was bland but the smoke would stone your ass...peace

NEVER buy fem seeds...most are unstable, and you get alot of hermies, always buy the normal ones.

Not to hijack the thread, but this is 100% false. Hermies are a natural part of a plants attempt at life, you dont get more with female seeds, you just think you do because your not throwing half of the males away anymore, therefore you get "twice" as many hermies. Common error though, your forgiven.

I personally have never had a hermie...i actually have a good female/male ratio...i've had only 3 males in the last 3 years. I have only heard that people have been getting alot of hermies from fem seeds...so if i'm wrong i apologize.
