ok so my plants have been doing terrible in soil. no matter what the ph has stayed at high 7 to 8 and all the soil around here in my area is shitty. i wanna start over and go hydro now. what is the easiest set up to make and the pros and cons. im sorry for not using the search bar. that really is my bad but i made this decision last minute and am on the go. please let me know at least something. just asking for opinion from experienced growers is all.

easyest no doubt would be DWC .. or just coco.my old setup had nutes pumping from my resivoir thru my coco and back into the res.

Dwc, but not being rude if ya can't whip soil dwc is a whole nother ball game with curve balls to figure out.

lol well i know my ventilation prob was sucking and everything was real ghetto. i used fox farm light warrior and it was way to phed and then i fucked with it too much. i could go and buy new soil but i just dont want to. i know hydro is a whole diff story but soil is 1 less thing to worry about and seems like the grower has more control since its water based. so ph it and not that much nute and right time to feed and your good, at least thats how i see it.

normajean, go read the hempy bucket thread. It doesn't get any easier than that. It works, I have used it, I am using it now and it is easier than DWC. I have done that as well. Both are good but, hempy is easier.

If you're struggling with soil then hydro will probably be catastrophic. You say the soil in your area is shitty, but the content of bags of specially created growing medium for growing marijuana is the same the world over. Buy some soil online, or from a hydro shop. Im using 'canna terra pro' at the moment for my first ever grow, and the plants are performing amazingly.

Yeah what bigby said :D - I'm Using BioBizz Light mix, and its been fantastic its as close to hydro as i think you will want to get.it has a very low nutrient content which means u have more control over what goes in your plants
