need help asap

hiya all...hope ur all doin gr8....i jst planted a pak of 10 thc bomb 3 days ago n dis is my 1st time growin....evrythin is runnin smooth except d temp n d humidity....ri8 nw my grow box has only gt 1 exhaust bt its pretty gud wit kouple of holes at d bak fr air inflow...i m planin to install an air kooler wich komes wit a humidifier n wil b here by 2moro hopefuly :wink:...n may b another intake later....wel to b frank i ws jst desperate so i germinated dem b4 my grow box ws fully ready....i use a 400w HPS n d heat is jst fukin killin me n my babies.... :sad: wel d dark period is kool temp stays at 24C n humidity 50-60% bt in d li8 period evrythin wacks up temp bekomes 40C wich is abt 104F n humidity is jst fukin low abt 5-10% i need help asap any further advice is welkome...lukin frward to hear frm u guys...i ws also wilin to know dt as i m usin an hps frm d very beginin wer ppl use cfl's or flouroscents dus dis wil anyhw hamper my plants as i no dt hps's r best fr flowerin stages n so, if d li8 is dt much botherin den wil a MH work if i substitute it nw...my plants r still seedlings nw any later i m fukin woried wt wil hapen....need info pls...adioz... bongsmilie

sory 4 my spellings :s nm....i no man its jst too fukin hot i wil instal dt kooler as soon as i get it...here r sm piks of my grow rum...wich is abt 1.5'X1.7'X5.4' inches....d curent exhaust fan is gud i dnt no d specifications its frm wickes...if ur familiar wit uk products...:P, ri8 nw d distance between li8 n pot is abt 22 inches n i put dt sheet kover ovr d pots to maintain a bit humidity bt its nxt to useless...d major thing dts botherin me is d humidity n temp...hope u cn assist me sm help...cheers mate....grow wit power \w/...

get a fan and put it at the door blowing it outward and that will drop the temp thats the problem and the cheapest solution

yea man...set the fan at the door...I used keep the door open a bit from beginning for the air to pass out well now with the fan hope it works more...thanks mate...

hey dude, you really don't need HPS to germinate and look after seedlings. a blue CFL would do just fine, save you hassle with fans for now and money on your leccy bill. HPS all the way for bloom though, so i've heard!

how are they looking today?

aight dude this is what i can help with so far
fan is absolutely imperative later on....
during germination not really
the light.... yes you can use an mh instead of hps....
the mh works best during veg. and the hps like django says works best during flowering
at this point in time you really dont need any light to tell the truth
the 2 i told you about that i germed didnt get light until the initial leaves dropped the seed case
so for the first few day no light is really needed.....
also as far as heat the aluminium might actually add to that
a tray of water just sitting in the box would help a lot with the humid.

de died...:( al 10 of dem.. :( i found nothin searched d whole pot.. :P anywz i m wit 5 thai sticks nw...4 germed stil 1 lft...goin to instal d 2nd fan 2day...lets c...

thanx a lot man...wel as i sed all my thc bombs died...i donno may b i added nutes at d pottin or d intense heat has kaused dis.. :(...so i m wit my free 5 seeds nw caled thai stick...goin to instal dt 2nd fan...plus i hv a kooler nw...donno if i m goin to intal it in dt box or jst keep outside....wel as i m ti8 on budget i hav no odr choice odr than runin dis hps fr nw...i wil definately get dt mh or cfls later a bit...thanx agn man....i hope dt addin tray wud work superb...:) wt abt ur grow wat r u wit nw...???

Oh shit!

I'm a bit confused though, did they germinate and then die or just never pop up? Lost track of which grow you're on man!

To germinate the new seeds, try dropping them in a shot glass of distilled water and leaving for 24 hours. During this time they will absorb the water they need for germination. Then plant them in holes 1cm deep and cross your fingers!

Keep them moist but not wet and at a reasonably warm and constant temp. You should see growth within 2 days.

de did germinate den i potted dem in soil wit nutes :S ....on 18/6...de never appeared to life :'(.... yup mate i germed d new seeds in tissues n sprayin water....5/5 germed :D nw wil put dem in soil as u sed without NUTES....hoping fr d best ! got dt intake as wel wit a ducting wich wil b on d li8 atached to d extractor wen its li8in period....wish me luck...

yeah you really don't need to feed them until the have some proper leaves on 'em. maybe not until you have two nodes. the soil should offer some nutes too for a while. and when you do start feeding, only half strength for a while.

that sucks that they died....you just have to make those thai stick seeds count....
to have a good germination you really dont need lights or nutes.....
once the root pops out the seed i leave it for a little while and let it soak up some more water before planting it into some soil.
once planted....they really dont need light....most people who use light at this time are just providing the heat in the top soil.....
the pant really doesnt need light until it has stretched up, the seed case has fallen off, and the two rounded leaves are visible....
after that maybe nutes could be used but you probably want to see the true leaves first.....imo

in my grow i have nirvana short rider and venus flytrap.....
i also just germed 4 satori's, 3 hashberries, 4 lowryders, 3 NL, 1 jock horror fem, and 1 rocklock fem.......
i know its a lot but i am trying to play the odds so i can get atleast one fem from each strain......
but i got 100% germ....so i'm happy:)

anyway good luck to you and i hope those thai sticks work out for you.....keep us updated
