Got a few new seeds coming, lets see, The church, Big Bang, Green House Thia, Blue mystic, and auto blue mystic, wanna try out the autos, and also got 2 free autos for each order, i did two so ill get 4 seeds, 2 roadrunner, heard good things from a buddy, said it was really good and done before he ever started budding his SLH and Blue Hash, and also ill have 2 haze auto, so a total of 9 all feminized of course, and 5 of them auto, im getting one of those hydro buckets like on ebay, for six large plants comes assembled and with the grow medium, clay pellets. I haven't ever done hydro but I hear yield is like 40% more with hydro, so im gonna do like 3-4 autos and 2-3 regs, and try that, but the dro thing, is just a simple bucket thing you get at lowes with the pump and line and everything, i was gonna c what it would cost just to build one, but for 50 bucks assembled and with 3 months of nuts. and the clay pellets, and peat pellets too, all for 50, free shipping, i think im just gonna order that, an use the new fox farm nuts. on it, since i havent used em yet, and the rest ill do organically, and a friend may have the 600w light i need, my 250w works but for the space i have i need 600, so im gonna try and buy it, he never even used it so its new, and hes got the track system with it too. So i can run the 600 back and forth and that would be perfect for my longways style room anyways. if anyone has grown any of the seeds i mentioned hit me up, let me know about those strains, the church, big bang, blue mystic, green house Thia, roadrunner, haze auto, any info about growing tips just if youve tried or grown holla at me please. thanks ppl pants

How do you build a system like this for 50 bucks? What type system is it? I meen is there water being pumped through those pvc pipes 24/7? And how deep is the water in the pipes. I am just trying to get a feeling for how it works. I have read about deep water culture and spent plenty of time reading about bubbleponics.....what type of hydroponics is this? Is this NFT....or nutrient film...I think? Buds look delicious by the way. What strain again?

Sorry for the questions but I'm just trying to soak it all in....I have my permit to grow for my pain now and even have 10 clones in soil but im intrested in this also.....very cool sir!!

ah no worries bout the questions bro =]
its basicaly an old fashion gravity fed hydro setup using a nutrient film technique, but almost like deep water culture(because the trofts arent flat, and i have to run the water pretty deep with alot of air stones), except the water is pumped and circulated constantly. or a flood drain, but constantly flooding and draining.
theres about 1 1/2 inchs of water in the trofts, being pumped 24/7. i have small round air stones running through the trofts to help avoid over watering, and 2 air stones in the resivour.

the strain is Super Silver Haze bred with some local kill buds=] i personaly like it more then the original SSH lol

what MG nutes are you using? MG isnt all that bad if you know how to use it good.
with the MG nutes, ur doing better then most first timers!

Whatever was/is already in the soil. It's Miracle Grow soil. Heh. I do have some of the MG feeding stuff, to add to water, but I haven't put it to use. Didn't think there'd be much need to, with the nutes in the soil releasing every time I water. (Which is once a week, up to once ever week and a half.)

McPurp over in the LST thread has been giving me some pointers too. I have no idea what the pH of my soil or water is. Which could probably explain the yellowing leaf tips. :/ Damn pH meters are pricey, though. For a poor broke fool like me, anyway. haha.

lol yea, that deffinatly true. but PH in soil is not usually a problem unless your water's PH is way up, or down(havent checked mine in... about a year?). im thinking your strain might just eat N at a higher rate then the soil allows. you can put used coffee grounds around your top soil(about 1 T spoon at most) and this will give em a boost in N in about 2 waterings(takes time for it to break down ya know)
or you can soak coffee grounds in a jug of water for a day or so, and strain out the grounds and water with that water.
but idk, shes looking good none the less, and MCpurple is smart guy. actually saved my ass once or twice lol

you should water more than that, every 3rd or 4th day.

thats what i was thinking, but his soils seems to have alot of bark and stuff in it... so it might stay wet that long?

malphator, do you dig around in the soil a few inches down to make sure it isnt dry befor then? or do you just water on a schedule and dont check?
just wondering lol

ya just stick your finger about 3 inches into the soil if its dry then you need to water it.

Yeah. I squiggle my finger down into the soil to check, and it's not bone dry down there past the second knuckle (not super moist either, though). After a week, that is. S'why I usually wait a few extra days after a week before I water again.

And the coffee grounds thing is a great idea. I'll have to do that tomorrow, when the light cycle is on.

with my first plant, i was ALWAYS worried about over watering it. but i figured out that when u stick ur finger in and arent sure if its wet enough or not( ah... hope this dont happen in the bedroom to ne body? haha)

but if you get a sucker, one of the older fahioned type ones with paper sticks, if you stick that paper stick into the soil and its damp feeling when you take it out, dont water. if it isnt damp its ready to water again. lol something i thought when eatn mushrooms... worked pretty well for me tho. hahaha

(EDIT) when its damp, it wont be drenched or anything... jus SLIGHTLY damp. lol jus thought i shud add that just incase
