so as i mentioned in previous posts my 600 growbright hps bulb from HTG supply burned out after 3 weeks of use.

I just got off the phone with them. They are sending me an upgraded 600HPS bulb for free.


things to note: he told me they just found out the grow bright bulbs do not like the digital ballasts. so if you bought a package from them with digital ballast with a growbright bulb beware of this. if your bulb pops within 1 year of purchase they will replace it.

they said the growbright bulb likes soft start and the digital ballast does hard starts,

anyway 3 CHEERS for HTG SUPPLY!!!!!!

i thought digital ballast has soft start....


i thought the regular old fashion ballast where the ones with the spike and hard starts

somethings not adding up

ok you are right here is where it says its a soft start:

The DIGITAL GREENHOUSE ballast features patented ”soft-start” technology which increases lamp life and stops voltage spikes on your power meter. The soft-start technology allows for 50% less power consumption during lamp startup and drastically reduced energy consumption overall.

so could it be that the Growbright lamp likes hard starts and the ballast being soft start ruined the light?

is that possible? if not maybe he lied or was misinformed. Beats me but hes sending me a the upgraded bulb for free:mrgreen: i aint gonna argue with the man about it:mrgreen:

I was looking at their 200 buck 600watt digi for a 5x5 grow op, Sound good? It seems like Im gonna get a free primo HPS bulb with in after a lil bit as well :D

why doesnt htg advertise and support this site for all the people who promote his products,thats the question,if your busy and this site helps you remain busy support it.

i was thinking the same thing. someone needs to send him a link to this site.

he should find a better shipping company though. my package has been sitting in the same spot since Dec 26. UPS blows. :evil:

i think it is time for htg to come to the plate,they know about all the free advertiseing they are getting grom this site,a successfull company knows what is going on in its echo system,he just likes the free advertiseing,why should he pay when he can get it for free,that tells me he doesnt care much about the backbone of his industry,the sites such as this,if greed is the game i aint playing.but if htg really cared about you and i he would advertise a bit here,because it is us and sites like this that feeds him,so htg stand up for the people who pay your wage.
