Hey everybody whats going on? well after much consideration and though, here it goes. Im doing it. You know, The norm..day to day or week to week pic and journal entries. As i type this i have 5 plants about 3 weeks away from being done so tech thats my first grow. But this time im doing 18 plants so im considering this my first "real" grow. So heres a lil rundown on what i got and expect. I got 18 cuttings, 7 days in rooting. Checked earlier no roots yet ill check later. I have 6 sour diesel(buddy gave me seed)6 Nirvana white widow and 6 Greenhouse Seeds Great White Shark. I took the cutting, cut on 45 degree under water, dipped in clonex and put into rapid rooters, trimmed leaves, sprayed and put in dome on seedling heat mat set at 84 degrees..I will be running a soil grow. The medium mix i made is Foxfarm base soil, part pro-mix, peat moss and perlite. I will be using General Hydroponics Maxi Grow 3 part, watersoluble, powder nutes. I know not many people use them, but i want to give them a try. For flowering i will also be using floranectar,and fox farm beastie bloomz for bud size and weight booster. My flowering room is 7foot by 8 foot,Mylar on walls, and i will be running 3- 400 watt Hydrofarm HPS Lights. For exhaust i have a 8" vortex inline fan and for fresh air intake i have 2 6inch inline fans, sucking in fresh air and for in room circulation i have 2, wall mount, 14 inch air king fans. Hopes that pretty much covers it. if i left anything out feel free to let me know. And i hope many people subscribe. You going to give everyone a smoke report once harvested/dried/cured/smoked?

UPDATE!!!!!UPDATE!!!!!

Woke up this morning and went down to basement to spray clones and check everything...ANd waaalaaaa....1st clones rooted in 8 days.Thats not to bad right? im interested in knowing how long it takes u guys to establish roots? Its all a learning process still kinda/sorta for me, ya know. So yeah thats what i wanted to tell ya. Hopefully more sprout soon. Peace and pleasurable toking---GL2009

wow how crazy is that, that we share name?lol. cool name ganja...lol. anyway. yeah i definetly will give everyone a nice smoke report. I heard the sour diesel is an awesome smoke. Im not quite sure what strain of sour diesel it is but my buddy said its outta this world, so we will see. Quick update....Just went down to check on clones and see that 2 more have taken roots. No pic but ill see about getting one up.....Just way to super stoned to do it..Sorry.LoL!!!Peace

Hey whats up everyone? Just want to give everyone who is paying attention, a quick update. All in all there are 8 clones that have rooted. So we got ten more and we are ready to start vegging. Hopefully all done in a couple days. Ill put a post up tommorow and let everyone know whats going on. Im taking a trip to the hydro store tomm, so ill let u guys know what goodies that i pick up while im there. Talk to ya tomm. Peace and Happy Tokeing.....GL'09

Hey hows it going Nimbus? Yeah, so far so good. This is the boring part. Waiting for the cuttings to root. YOu think i should have waited to start my Journal after the cutting were rooted and in veg? How do most people do it, judging by ur experience reading other journals?

Hey whats up everyone out there in RIU land? Just to give u a quick update, I was at the store doing some shopping today and i seen this shelving unit on sale for 10$ and i thought to use it for a cloning unit. Stack all my trays and heat mats and all the goodies. I bought it, came home, hooked it all up how i wanted it, got all the babies and mats and trays situated just right. Then I came upstairs to grab my camera to take some quick pics and i come to find out that my 1 year old devil baby, i mean son, stole my memory,Had it sitting on computer desk and he needed it more than me i guess. So sorry no pics, ill grab a new sd card tonight. No new cuttings with any visable roots. So we will see. Ill update if some pop today yet. Peace and happy blazing.....GL'09

Oh real quick, I was just examining my clones and i noticed that everyone of them has at least an inch of new leaf growth. The reason i know this is because when i take my cuttings, right after i put them in my rapid rooters, i trim the edge of every single leaf on my cuttings. So all the new growth is full, uncut leaf and thats how i know it definetly new. So what im asking is, Does this means that there is root growth started and they just arent long enough to pop out of the rapid rooter yet? Any help would be stupendously appreciatted... Thanks guys and gals...GL'09

Just to give everyone an update and let them know that the thread is active, just not to much other than waiting for cutting to root, going on right now. So as of 5:28pm, there are 10 of the 18 rooted so all should be rooted withing the next 4 to 5 days. Then i plan on a 2 maybe 3 week veg(depending how tall they get in that time) and then it off to flower<<<My favorite part>>>So ill post again soon and i apologize about no pics, my stoner mind keeps forgeting to get a memory card when im out so...i do have iphone pics. Maybe ill throw them on.. they r shitty. Just gotta go get a sd card...Peace everybody...GL'09

Hey guys whats up. Quick update. i know ive been bullshitting with the camera situation but i promise ill have recent pics of the whole operation, posted by this weekend. So far so good. One quick update is originally the grow was going to be 18 plants total. I think im going to bump that total number up to 24 total plants. That will make a nicer harvest anyway...lol. So as of today, there are 18 clones rooted. so waiting for 6 more to root. Hopefuly all rooted by sunday. And then a quick veg and into flower. I made a run to the hydro store and picked up all my supplies to make my soil mix. I got fox farm ocean forest, fox farm light warrior, worm casting, pete moss, vermiculite,perlite and lime and some pro mix. So everything is right on track, so this weekend ill be mixing up my soil blend cause i like for my soil to sit for about 2 weeks and that will put us right about time to start flowering. so ill make sure i get that done this weekend. heres some updated pics. finally!!!!!!!i know guys it was my fault. wont take so long agian. So as of know i have 28 clones rooted and in veg. Plan on keeping them in veg until August 7. That is when my flowering room will be cleared out and the 5 that are in there will be done. I got some pics of the ones that i will be harvesting next week.Ill put them up in a post right after this post. Let me know what u think. Those are the first plants ive ever grown and i dont think they did to bad? huh. I hopeing to get a half pound off of those five. Its def do-able. We will see next week. Keep ya posted on how much. All under 400 watters. I love them cause i can get them so close cause of the low heat of them. So anyway back on track. Im going to veg til august 7 and then pic the Nicest 22 or 24(undecided) and that will be the grow. Theres going to be alot of sour diesel plants in this grow, no matter which ones i choose. And dont worry, the clones i dont pick, r going into another flowering room that very same day in a friends room. Heres the my mothers, the ones that i took all the clones off of for this current grow. And the other one is a bullshit Ak-47 Automatic seed that i ordered by accident. Get this.. When i cut that bitch, she weighed in at a whooping 47 grams and when she dried, she shrunk down to 7 grams exactly. The smoke was ok, maybe iffy at best. I gave more away then i smoked, put it that way. Never again will i grow autoflowering ganja. Not worth the hype..Peace..GL'09
P.S. Just in case ur wondering, the 5 im harvesting are chocolate kush and lifesaver.
