Question about pistils.

*sigh they normally do not show up until after you start 12/12.

When to start flowering is about height and not looks or time.

I've had them on an outdoor grow decided to bring one in to see if i could do an indoor during the winter but they were basically on 12/12 so do I need to put them back on 12/12 or can i reveg to get some bulk in her? Cause the pistils are showing. Atleast from what I can tell.

If you want a better yield you can keep vegging a plant with pistils. That's how it works in nature anyway; plants show pistils in June/July and don't start flowering until August/September.

Use low stress training (LST) to get the plant bushier. You don't want to top if you're flowering soon.

]View attachment 1054005 Is this too much light? those lamp bulbs are only 23w the ones under the reflective shade are 6500 lumens 2 of them daylight bulbs. Im wondering if this is too much light the plant is starting to get white spots on the leaves and they're welting she was looking good yesterday :[ Can anyone assist me on this problem also. will take better pics if needed. Also the big leaf is not touching that back bulb :p its behind it about 2 to 3 inches away.

its fine ...
im pretty sure you can lst at any height you want .. and dont listen to the guy who said they only show in flower... pistils will show when the plant is gettign ready to flower... its puberty .. usually arrive at about 3 or 4 weeks into veg ... have to look pretty close to see them early on ..
if you dont want to drill holes in the pot etc... just use a heavy object and place it next to the pot .. tie some string to the top of the plant and the object.. keep it there for a few days and then bend it the other direction ...i would plower soon though.. its not quite old enough ... its tall because you need stronger lights.. but if you flower at 2 foot you could end up with a 6 foot plant ... carefull.

the light you have might be ok for now actually... if its too warm for your hand then its too warm for the plant ... looks pretty healthy though .... nice looking plant .... let it grow some more side branches and then flower that beauty...

Please please please doument this as IMO it is bullshit. The plant will not be ready to flower until yiou flip to 12/12, unless of course it is auto flowering. I know this from personal experience and the 1000's of hours reasearching.

If this is the case why have my 8 week clones not shown? Maybe because I don't want them to show.

8 weeks is way too long to not see any preflowers, may I ask what strain? Preflowers develop when the plant is mature enough to start flowering - regardless of the photoperiod. Switching to 12/12 will speed the process up, but you can actually get preflowers easily under 18/6 or even 24 hours of light. Of course this depends on genetics and environment...

Most outdoor plants should be loaded with preflowers right now, and flowering is still weeks away.

Haha I guess I'm just paranoid id like to keep it at the same length and just bush that would be amazing. I'm trying the LST have the top tied to a full water bottle.

But does anyone know what the white spots would be? They're not bugs and i've really only noticed it on one leaf. Its wilted and looks like its getting worse.

try and get a close up photo ... could be a lot of things but its hard to say without a photo ..
is it a top leaf or a bottom leaf?

oh and dont confuse the pistils with the two green ..... well i forgot the name but here ... http://www.stonerforums.com/lounge/growfaq/1250_files/crzycom1.jpg

i didnt mean it would start floowering .. just that it has reached an age where it can flower porpperly once flipped to 12 12... if you do it from seed say.. it takes an extra week or two to flower.. as it has to reach an age of maturuity first. please dont start arguing i was just letting him kow that its ok to flower if he so wishes.. if you go around saying pistils dont usually show in veg then new growers will think they have done something wrong..
and your plants at 8weeks veg ... are they clones? they will take longer to show than from seed and also it does depend a lot on the strain ..
