experience with ballast?

hey, does anyone have experience with this product or brand? is it good? 600w enough for 4x4 space?

don;t know the brand but as long as it is UL Listed it should be fine... but you know you can find the Lumatek 600W ballasts on ebay for under $200 and free shipping... can't go wrong with Lumatek!

That ballast should be just fine . I have heard of a lot of growers using that brand .
I use a 400W/600W switchable so I am able to run two different sizes with one ballast . I use NEXTGEN .

It's the one I use ( neewbee ) and my electric bill went up $ 21 a month to run light , fans , pump , ect.
I use a 400W MH to vegg , then switch to 600 HPS for flowering. Just change a bulb , flip a switch and ready to roll.

i was planning on maybe getting 2 400W mh for veg and then 600W for flow for a 4X4 grow tent. have you bought your products online?

I'll preach my usual sermon about 400 watt fixtures from craigslist equipped with cmh bulbs. Two would cover the 4 square foot area and you'd save money and get a better grow both.

Yes, the cmh bulbs are good for the entire grow, no switching. They're about the closest thing to sunlight that you can get.
