The bad is that it is the criminal job to win, to beat you, and owing to the fact that his only power is his direct actions towards you (he has no laws he can throw at you etc) he/she will undoubtedly think "right, they all have guns, it makes sense to have a gun as well". Certainly we can disagree, but the facts speak for themselves. You are directly propagating their aggression towards you and your family, but hey, sod actual real world consequences, the constitution sais it's fine
