Just started Grow # 2 ! Chopped the Sour Diesel last night ! This time I,m going to be working with Purple Flo (GDPxFlow)45-55 days flowering , Pineapple Express 56-63 days flowering , and Blueberry Unknown flower time.
The Flo and Express are clones I purchased that were started in rockwool . I transplanted these to soil (Roots Organic)
The Blueberry I started from seed hopefully 1 out 4 will be female. Started these in Rapid rooters .These are seeds that I found in some B grade Blueberry.
Grow space- I built an 4ft x 4ft x 7ft enclosure in my garage.It is constructed of 2x2 firring strips , coverd with 4 mil black visqueen with insulation inbetween.
Walls are covered with mylar . I used from home depot they have a version of heatshielding(aka the reflective stuff with the air bubbles)much cheaper than products geared toward horticulture but much cheaper. I used this in the ceiling to help with heat from light and to block IR.
This whole system was cheaper than a tent and i believe it is way better insulated to protect against heat / cold.
Equipment- 20 x 19 air cooled hood, 250 w mh for veg ,250 w hps for flowering.
4 in can fan pulls hot air from the ceiling through the light and out through the top exhaust port. Intake is at the bottom a 4in duct run over near the door to pull fresh outside air.
8 in stationary fan for circulation
Humidifyer to somewhat control humidity and it has a cooling effect in the room. I just run it on a timer 30 on 30 off .Humidistat is on my wishlist.
Nutrients - Age Old Organics Grow,Kelp,and Bloom
Water - Straight out the tap after sitting overnight.
Medium - NO FOX FARMS HERE ! Roots Organic Soil , 25% #4 Perlite
Bug contro l- Insecticidal soap , neem based concentrate,and an permethum concentrate.Sticky Traps also.
I built a veg area this time .Got them all transpanted into solo cups set up and ready to go ! Veg area or pre veg if you will has 3 27 w 5000 k and 1 42 w 2400 k cfls .
