Holy shit! I had some witty comments about elves and internet, but there is no point is kicking an elf while he is down. I'd call your ISP to try and get that fixed. In the meantime, just throw in a Pauly Shore movie and pretend it is '92.

lol, i have compushit, i mean CompuServe. It is a dial-up service from 1994 and they apparently haven't upgraded anything. Pauly Shore=the bomb! oh and by witty you mean smart ass right?

Anyways, I don't think they would be able to trace you if you go to the library...If you're still a little paranoid, how about a PC cafe?
Those places are completely anonymous where I'm from!

well i went into a pc cafe once thinking it was a place to get on the internet and it was a online gambling business and they had tinted windows and a door to buzz you in.....

haha! When my comp. is down, I just head downtown to G3(internet cafe), toss em' $3, choose a computer, hop on it for an hour, then walk out, no questions asked...
But that's some funny shit! Online gambling...

lol u want to 'torrent cd's at your library'?

If you copy from a physical media, like a CD to a computer there is no way to trace/track it. Plus I doubt the library even gives a fuck

but you were going to torrent it yourself? look not many people get busted for torrents. Most of the time the corporation who you 'stole' the data from will contact your ISP and force your IP to give you a slap on the wrist in one way or another. Then theres the fact that your at the public library

I call that GOOD bloody hell - stop moaning about it, I remember when I was on dial-up using Napster when it first came out...4.3kb/s was GOOD, AND you'd be engaging the phone for 3-4 hours to get a single song...
