:joint: hello and welcome to my grow journal.

well this is my first grow journal and my 3rd project although have NEVER...

A: grown in 5 years (my car insurance rates just went down, happy b-day)

B: grown in soil

C: practiced the SOG method

So with that aside lets throw caution to the wind.:blsmoke:

Ok so to start, let me establish what i am workin with...

(also note pictures are coming)
(and i am 6 days into this wild cloning session)
Workspace:twisted:
12' x 12' x 8'(h)

Lighting
24hours
I currently am running a set of hortilux's, four (4) 1000w HPS, all of them are in flow through cooling hoods they are on 6'' in line cooling fans, two lights per fan; and exhausted out to outside world.

All surfaces are covered in mylar up to a 6' height

right now i run two of them until the plants are spaced out more.

Medium
soil
i am growing in fox farm ocean forest as a base with
perlite
vermiculite
earthworms castings
super pre-mix

in 2 gallon plastic pots w/ drainage holes

Water:spew:

would you believe that for 25cents per gallon Galcier filter machine provide an optimal watering product...

dual reverse osmosis filters
dual UV micro biological filters
and more stuff i forgot, but...

the PH is 6.7 6.7 yes!!
35 dollars worth of ph up&down... still havent opened either one....

Nutes

ok so i have aquired

fox farms grow big
Advanced Hydroponics 3part sys
Tiger Bloom
clonex for special occasions

Air
???

my air temp and humidity and low and behold co2 setup

73'F all lights on, all fans on intake/exhaust
51% all lights on, all fans on intake/exhaust

co2 is supplied by a 3 foot tank with electronically actuated valve on regulator, it runs at 9 milibar for 15 minutes per hour....

while thats happening my
my exhaust shuts off 1 min before co2 kicks on for 15min
exhaust comes back on 15 min after co2 shuts off total 30 min per hour w/o exhaust running
temp/humi after 28min of no exhaust= 77' / 55% (this cycles once per hour 24 hours a day)
at 78' my intake fan kicks fresh (cool) outside air in

cirulation= 3 oscilation fans 1 on wall at crown moulding level, 1 18'' up 1 32" up with co2 hose attached.

all intake exhaust routed to/from outside (fresh) air with 6'' line and through walls/ceiling.

i dont have a co2 saturation meter but i am still shopping for 'the one'
Music
yes i said "music", stupid.

i leave the radio on allllllll damn day and i think that my kids love classic rock stations, i mean shit i want some bomb ass smoke baby so you better believe that Pink Floyd cycles on once an hour on any good old rock staion and what bud could be better than some bud thats had all the wonderful experienes i have:hump: :hump: :hump:
its been a lot of work but i've made it work i have all thegoodies on timers/thermostats and it all works like a charm i spent 6 hours straight in there last night and it all works like a chevy baby....:blsmoke: :peace:

PS oh and for you worriers i smoke blunt after blunt in 'my room' i think they like it.. in fact i am cloning an army of Lushes:blsmoke:

i will update as it goes

if you would like to comment or question feel free i appreciate any and all input, i didnt get this far by not asking question or reading up first this project is the cumulative knowledge of 2 years experience as a child and countless hours of reading and hanging out at hydrostores in town and out of town...

ps hydroshops want your money, other places sell the same equpment for half the price!!!!!!!!!!! grainger.com has a TON of stuff researchwhat you need at the hydro shop write it down manufacterer and model number then get to searching for all those goodies lazines reflects in all aspects of life....:peace:

I like the setup...what strain? I'm thinking of a similar setup, but waingint for my plants to grow a little more before taking any cuttings...how'd the rooting process go prior to transplanting?

my rooting took ok but they were all in shock when i got it all straight.....

so i lost a couple (about 10) but i have plenty left to work with...

now of my crop about 15% of my clone are weak and a bunch of pussies....

but the strong ones, yeah boy are they whats up!! i am on day# uh11 i think i cant remember its a 2-3times a day relationship to me before work afterwork in the middle of the night when my grilfriends asleep:twisted:

it's not really cheating is it:mrgreen: ?
once their roots took i put them in soil whala! lotsa light! happy times baby 'i jumped the shark!'

you know now that i think about it i make little adjustments all thetime so maybe she is a FORD

Fix Or Repair Daily

oh wait it all works, it just likes tinkering (shit it could be brittish leyland, i hope i tdoesnt overheat!!):peace:

as for the system i am gettin some superthrive on my way home tonight. i just upped my total dissolved to about 500ppm QUESTION: is pro-blend an organic because a near by guy uses it and the dosage is pretty big but it says for dailywatering?? geez i mean it comes in a gallon to start!

question: i am not to sure but how likely am to cause a nute burn with an organic versus my heavy chem&TDS nutes?? are organics more forgiving to over ferting?

Question: Guanos where? when? how much? is it to late to topsoil feed it??

Organic is more forgiving. You still need to be careful with them though. Pro-blend I think is organic.

Just remember there may be more Chevy's on the road but don't worry Ford's are trying to work are to pull the broken messes to a junk yard.

Ok so pro-blend good...

what would anyone recomend aregarding the bat shit (guanos) anybody else have past experienc with it?? I dont reall want to over nitrate my soil which is a really good blend ive made i feel. i wonder if lots of guanos would cause an excess of nitrates for my flower cycle (when the time comes)??

oh yeah and i almost forgot

"fuck tha police, ill shit on da man'

look i know that i cant spell and if youve read any of my posts then you already know as well. so make comments; screw my spelling and be funny ==================================

well a minor update...

what day is it??

newayz my nutes are up to 1300 ppm plus people no nute burn, although i was hoping to see a little to know that my plants were utilizing as much as possible.

(fox farm grow big, pro blend, pro tekt, superthrive)

my babies are all of 8-10inches tall with so much nodular growth; 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch spacing average 5-7 nodges per plant. many of these nodges are splitting and at least 10 plants show signs of bonsai'ing and splitting to multi stems.

my stalks... well these fellas aremostly 7/16 of an inch thick at their base. these bastards are strong like iron penis!

the fan leaves are as big as my hand, some wider across (8''-9'') and a rich dark green, quite full (heavy indica cross) as they develope (i see at least 1 1/2 leaves develop per day now.

co2 is the shiznit!!!

look now my temp stays around 77-82f with 48-55% humid.
it varies as my lights cycle throughout the day.

i remember reading somewhere that fox farm doesnt cause nute burn bc of it being organic. saying it was safe to use as much as u wanted

Dude, I was checking out your grow, nice going so far. I had a couple of thoughts for you...(1st) I believe your exhaust fan is coming on way too soon after doing the co2, (2nd) I believe your temp is way too low to make any use of the co2.
I know for a fact that the plants need to be around 90 degrees or so, for the co2 to be effective, atleast 85 as a minimum. They are going to suck your nutes down like crazy too, be ready.
You need to re-adjust your exhaust to allow the temp to rise to around 90 degrees, or else the co2 is a waste of time.
You didnt say, but I was wondering, are your lights air-cooled?
Anyways, yr looking good, I wish you luck! :joint:

thanks for the input i actually kicked on all for lights and th fact that its 15 degres wrmr this month (F) my temp is no avging 77-84 at around 50-60% 18 hours on 6 off.

i totally aGREE in regards to the exhaust timing but my timers run 15 min increments i/o, and i dont want to run into a problem with temp control after 30 mins w/o exhaust.

i did a lot of reading that temps inexcess of 85f might slow vegative growth.

(my lights are inline with the exhaust fans)

right now i am still in veg at avg 12-14 inches height. about 1 inch node spacing. at least 30% of my plants have multiple (4-6) splits or extra nodes growing up at the base of the stalk. of those half of the extra stalks are as tall as the main stem/stalk. ill post some pics tomorrow.

:joint: :joint: in the morning, :joint: :joint: at night, :joint: :joint: in the afternoon, it makesme feel alright.:blsmoke:
