UB's method does call for topping at the second node. My bad. I went to the 4th node so that I could take a couple clones from the first and second node which I will be doing this morning. Sorry for the confusion. I feel that if you take somebody's technique and change it around a little you should still give props to those that helped you get there. I remember the first time I tried it, I was afraid I was going to kill the plant. Years later I have found that you can manipulate the plant a bunch with no worries. The third node has grown above the fourth now so I decided to LST them as well to open up the center of the plant for more bud sites. Since it is still in the first week of flower I will take advantage of the growth spurt and see what kind of insane plant I can grow. Since this is for the Party Cup Grow Off I decided to try and have some fun with it. With that said, here are the pictures. I have included a couple close up shots of the spot where I made the first cut at the fourth node.
