Sorry, but isn't cannabis decriminalized in CA now? Up to an oz is treated like a civil parking ticket?
So technically a no vote means your cool to carry an oz.. and cultivate legally under current medical law, yes?

Isn't that mainly things that are already illegal? I agree the prop isn't perfect but we have to start somewhere and politics is all about compromise. We have to share the world with religious and conservative folks who don't like cannabis. No amount of education will change most of these folks' minds. This prop passing would be a move in the right direction. They are never gonna just lift prohibition without any kind of regulation or compromise. It will never happen, not in a million years!

I so hope know, it passes..i was not really sure, but a minute or 5 ago i decided found out that it would be wonderful is the herb would be legal, as it should have been for all those years! Lets just hope all the world will take lead and follow

That doesn't even make any sense. And so what? Should people be standing outside bars smoking doobies? I for one have no issue not shoving my use of this plant down other people's throats. Remember, we have to share the planet with a lot of people who don't want to be around it. I can respect that.

It would still be illegal if 19 passed- If you reread the post you will see I said under california law-and I said for ME. I am 215 and now under C.A. law-not fed It is legal for me to smoke a joint outside the bar just as it is legal for you to smoke your cigarette outside the bar. If 19 were to pass it would be illegal in that I would be smoking in public, and if a minor happened to be walking by then not only would I be commiting a crime I would become a felon. Their are many other problems that is only one. what if you wanted to grow a plant in your yard? check out the prop 19 rules on that.How is it not a crime if weed isn't legal????????

As pro MJ as I am I still don't think it is one of those things that should be flaunted for all to see in public. Most places you can't just drink a beer in public (with the exception of bars and a few designated areas) and I agree with that. There are kids to think about, not to mention people who just don't agree with it or like the smell or whatever. We need to be respectful of others in these types of matters. I hate the smell of pipe tobacco so I can't stand it when someone smokes one in public. I don't think it should necessarily be illegal but that's a big problem in this country these days. People think they should just have the right to do whatever they want to and screw anybody else if they don't like it. And I agree with that to a point but my rights end when they begin to infringe on the rights of another. It should be that way for everything. If people would just be discrete, and respectful of others there would probably be little need for prohibition in the first place.

you missed the point in the beginning of the statement, I made my comment about being legal to grow/smoke if your medical because there is ALWAYS that option in CA. yes it is a ticket you don't go to court and it doesn't go on your record and their is no loss of drivers licence

Are you on board with that statement beardo? The things I hear about NOT voting for prop 19 are because they create MORE bad laws that don't affect the people right now.

Yeah that's if your not medical and you smoke illegaly and get caught, thats 100$ each time your ticketed not 100$ tax per OZ.
