i was thinking of haveing about 8 cfl's, in order to get all 4 sides on the top and bottom, when it becomes bigger

Sup BOB... quick question Im doing a pc grow case and I wanna know how to tell a plant is ready to harvest withought a trichome microscope. i didnt use it last time because i harvested a week early ive grown this strain before KC 36 and its 54 days strain. so any input on how to tell with out the microscope would be great. You can check out my grow in my signature just updated the pics.. peace brothaaa

Question Bob while im here. Have you ever seed/veg with a 600 hps. and if so how were results similar to the MH lamp? or you recommend me go out and invest in a 400 mh. just curious because if i can use the hps through out full growth. why invest in another light.. =/

im growing in coco soil my humidity is well 2 high(60-80) im 2 weeks into flowering but presume this 2 high?? ive got a mini dehumidifier but doesnt make a dif...... growing in ds100 with 600w ????? any 1 help plzz???

You can try a product called "DampRid" they sell it at the grocery store and at the hardware store. It won't make a huge difference but it's one of very few inexpensive options. I'm assuming a $200 dehumidifier is out?
Your humidity is perfectly fine. If you really wanted one you can get humidifiers for $20 at Target/Walmart/Etc.
ok question havent been able to find this and yes im new here. First im growing with a cap hydroponic setup 12 site how many times should I flood the pots? I was doing 4 during veg but plants just strated their 3rd week of flower. Next is with just starting my 3rd week of flower what exactly should i expect my ladies to be looking like. Any bud growth yet?

Yes, by the third week of flowering you should at least see some bud growth. I'm not solid on your system versus a similar hydrofarm system but I think 4 times a day, with 15 minute feedings, should be fine. You could try doing an extra one during the day to see if that helps them at all, but if you see any nutrient damage then back it off. I think you're good though.
If the plants look healthy and are at least a little indica then you probably have a dark period problem if there are not flowers present. I'd say dial back your timer to establish a 12.5 hour dark period and really make sure that no light gets in the area during the dark period.

Im not seeing to much bud growth on the for sure female clones (white widow), (godsgift) but from the other seeds I planted I just noticed today that one is a male. I did notice a little nutrient burn when I first switched them so I backed off to 3 15 minute floodings a day. But since they are bigger now I just changed it tongiht to 4 and figured I would see how it goes. The plants all look real good as far as I know. They are on 12/12 and when its dark its dark in there no issue with that.

Could be that you're using a 2700K HPS bulb. They suck balls and slow flowering is a common issue with them. If it's obviously 2700K (says it on the package) then you need to upgrade to a 2100K HPS bulb. Plantlightinghydroponics.com is selling Eye Sunlux HPS bulbs for less than $50 on a 1000w lamp that would be a huge upgrade if the bulb is the problem.

I will check into it tomorrow. I know the one bulb I am using is way better than the other so that could be the issue. I ordered the same bulb and it is in just need to pick it up. But i will give you the specs and info of the good bulb the other one I dont know what it is some growmax bulb or something. I know I might not make sense but its late and has been a long day. The one bulb is a ultra sun 400 watt mh 7,500k high output. Thats the same bulb that I ordered another one of. This bulb doesnt seem to be to bad compared the other garbage bulb that after reading it the box says for veg lol. Then after checking on the garden today I realized some of the seeds are males so had to take one out all ready so not happy. But worse case I have 6 lovely lady clones if all seeds end up being male.

I hate pH. I don't want to have to test pH all the time and calibrate some expensive meter all the time. I understand FoxFarm Ocean Forest soil has stuff in it to contro pH (I will also be using their nutes). My tap water is 8.2-8.6 pH. Can I get away with growing a plant without ever worrying about pH ever. I hate pH. Thanks.

Could be a pH problem. When did you calibrate last?
For this kind of onset I'd think first of heat. But you say heat is good. So then I think watering, but you're in coco, so it's probably not that.
This leaves mold and fungus infection. Only thing that I could think of that seems to fit given your fairly ideal environmentals. Have you been ventilating the space adequately 24/7?
Flush her for posterity, but I'm not so sure this is something you're going to be able to fix.

calibrated my ph stick lasr week actually lol but i have also been doing some reasearch in the mean time and i see N is best absorded at ph 6 so im wondering if this could be a prob as my ph is at 5.7 and i know coco can have probs with N/Mag def
i have inlet holes drilled at bottom of cab and a computer fan exhuasting 24/7 maybe i should put a puter fan for inlet aswell and a small fan in the cab (cab is a small bar fridge)

I have been looking all over the forms for hours and my question may sound mundane but I have two White Widow seedlings about a week old. The fringes of the leaves are starting to curl up what would cause this they are under a t5 HO light at about 2 inches away at a temp of 78 F. What would cause this?

Hey I just started an experiment with a speaker box and I set it up with some reflective material I got 2 seedlings going about 3-4 days old with one fan and 2 23 watt cfls...temps are getting extremely hot over 100 f the speaker has an exhaust hole wit the fan blowing out. But its not working ....anything I can do how bout. Sum water wit ice on da side..
