Very first grow...plastic cup.

hey guys! this is my frist post...and since i came across this website while surfing the web, i decided to put these seeds to some good use. i wanted to document this so i can try again and see for a better yeild.

they are currently on damp paper towels (which are on a plate) covered by a bowl.\\camera is dead...srry.

this one has been growin for 3 days now...looks good to me heres my little set up. jus growin in my room. i have the window open and the fan going for a lil bit of ventillalion. 14w CFL. going to construst a new going zone this week...another seedling i planted last night.

Looks like you have some nice little sprouts on your hands. What lights do you plan on flowering with though??

haha yea there is the problem... im planning on flowering them in the cup (not looking that THAT big of a yeild) but im going to construct some light apparatus here this week... haha and ive only got 1 18W CFL on them right now. i need to get on it.

No problem, that cfl will actually be good for 1 or 2 plants for the first week. After that I would definitely add a few more. You can pick up a 6 pack of 26w 2700k cfl's for around 10 bucks.. They put off most of there light from the side so mounting them horizontal is your best bet, 1-3" away once they get there first set of true leaves.

What soil are you using? Any plans for nutes?

im using the shit i had in my basment =) miricle grow--moisture control potting mix. says it feed up to three months. and i would buy some nutes...i jus dont know what to buy =(

as you can see....i updated the set up a bit so te light is closer...even over the work day i see much improvement. his leaves have gorwn substantionally.alike with this little guy...

Yea you should be pretty good with nutes if your using that soil, "for now anyways.." Looking good though, lmk if you have anymore questions and I'll do the best I can to help!

ACTUALLY...i do have a question! so i want these two little budlies harvested and cured by january 19, 2010....how long should they stay vegging>how long for flowering>and should i change light scheduel to 12/12 now?

when they're about to flower, cut a 1" circle-shaped hole in the bottom of the cup (so that the roots escape) and bury it in a pot of soil...you can't flower them in that tiny cup

It helps to know the strain your groiwing to determine the flowering time. I would give her a 10 week window of flowering considering it might take 2 weeks of 12/12 to show sex. Basically switch to 12/12 very soon just to be safe. Don't forget you have to dry it and cure it too..

well ive seen party cup grows yeild 25.5g...but it was a 14 week grow. im trying to stay at around 11 weeks...(check utube for this guys 'random medical bagseed'...

the bigger plant is just now starting to sprout his/her second pair of leaves. i think ill swich to 12/12 (from 18/6) on the 12..that would mean they have been vegging for only a week. any thoughts?

*edit:: i have no clue what strain it is...jus pulled these 2 seeds out of an eight of some kronic (mainly a sativa strain if i remember correctly)

1 week of veg will be better than none but if it is a sativa dominant strain it will take longer to flower so just expect that. The yield has to do with so many factors its hard to guess. I'm shooting for 12 grams in my party cups but I obviously wouldn't mind a little more Thats 12/12 from seed though.

Its hard to tell right now, I could definitely give you a better guess when they get far along in flowering. A ballpark would be between 5-15 grams if the conditions are good, possibly even more if you have everything dialed in..

looks like my lights shor curcited...no light for the plants since 10pm last night. im shure they will be fine though right?
btw im building a grow box this weekend... should i use CFLs or somthing else for it? (under a budget though..) lemme know if u guys have any sugestions on materials =)
