Yea there will always be more to learn no matter what it is, I'm not the type of person that won't take advice because I think I know everything. Specially when it comes to growing, I'm still fairly new to it but I'm starting to get a little more comfortable!!

Thats good Monko, you will have a successful first attempt if you take good advice when given and stick to the basics! First time or not.

For sure :P, man that fan I added give my plant a little breeze that should help thicken up the stem right?

That's what I love about this 'hobby' - as your plants grow, so do you. I get bored easily when I've 'mastered' something but not the case with this. I'm looking forward to years of happy growth and greenery :weed:

I'm kind of the same way, it seems that no matter what there's always a new technique or something else you can give a try if you get bored with your current setup :)

i love growing.. hands down.. if you get bored, ur an idiot.. lol... maybe not, but in growing, like previously mentioned, there is ALWAYS something new to learn... i learn something new everyday... thats def one reason i love it.. between that and the reward at the end of each cycle is better than just about anything else... minus a few things.. lol...

Totally agreed guys! Best thing I ever did was take the plunge!! Not many hobbies produce the kind of multiple level satisfaction you can get nurturing something from beginning to end. Emotional rollercoaster at times no doubt, but that's why we do it.

Legal or not, where ever I live a plant will be hiding.

I decided to join you on this one too. How long before you started seeing buds form? This is a new one on me. Straight to 12-12 seems to greatly limit branching.

Just chiming in to agree with everyone else here that growing is one of the best hobbies I've ever stumbled upon. And it's twice as good with this forum which I randomly found one day googling something about grow lights lol. Man am I glad I found this place.

I start using fans on my girls as soon as they are rooted. It does make them stronger, I have never had to "stake" up a plant. However, growing in party cups, may be cause for staking as they will get so heavy they will make the whole cup fall over!

A fan will also increase branching also as it encourages a short, squat plant. If you think about it, do you see any super tall trees on the beach front? The wind encourages trees to be short.

i wrote this yesterday:

yo treeZ,m heres what im gonna do, im gonna put hyponics soil one cup and the jungle growth in the other. 2 of the same kind bag seeds i have to get a good comparison, im gonna start greming them tonight and then in the cups they go at the same time and we'll see what happens. my thinking on this is if the hyponics is better, when i transplant the new plants, i will get more hyponics soil if this test shows it grows better and they'll finish in that.
