adjusting ph when using nutes? soil media.

so how woud you go about this? would you adjust your ph to what you water with and then add the nutes or would you add nutes then adjust it? say if you normally water with 6.8-7.0 and your nutes take it down to atleast 5.0..what do you do?

Yes, adjust after mixing, ideally to 6.0 to 6.4.

However, ph is not as important as people on here make it out to be, because you have a HUGE acceptable ph range in soil. Unless your water is really wonky to begin with, you'd be surprised to find that you could probably get away without adjusting your ph.

Only in soil, though:)

well as close to right under 7.0 as you can get is suppose to alow more nutes to be absorbed? idk thats what i read.

im not to concerned lol i just find info for my friend. ;). i just grow a few veggies and they like anything.

I shoot for 5.5-7. Give it a range to work from. you get dif nute uptake at dif ph. You can find a chart that tells what ph is best for what nute. I seldom hit the same ph and the plants do good.

7.0 will work swimmingly!

Really, 6.2....6.4.....6.314156..... whatever.... arbitrary numbers, really.

5.8 to 7.8 ish. Huge range.
