... like the title says, i aint gonna be able to plant untill tommorow and my seeds have just started cracking now, am i safe to leave them in the wet paper towels for around another 24 hours?
OK to leave germed seeds another day?

Actualy you need to leave them in the paper towel longer for good reason. You put the seed in a glass so they seed will soak up water acting like a camel basicaly. It stores the water in the seed and when u put the seed in the towel it gets oxygen and has all that water to drink up. Then it will crack open and the root will start growing out of it. Leave the seed in the paper towel untill the root is about half an inch long. Thats what I do but some people actualy let it get an inch or so O.O Its hard to plant the longer it gets and u can easily break the root while ur sticking it into the growing medium wether its rockwool or soil. happy growing and hope I helped

Cheers matey. yeh i just put them straight in the paper towels and keep wetting it until crackage.

Its literally just showing its face now so i think im safe.
Not a good idea but if u ever have this problem again. U can always keep them in a cold place. Below 60 degrees or so. I had this problem before during holidays. Its always hard to get your busines done when u got a house full of family during the holidays. When I had the problem I tryed keeping them cold cuz if a plant gets below 60 degrees it seems to stop growing completly so I tried it with my seeds and the roots were about a quarter inch long and they stoped growing for the couple days I needed them to. Once family was gone I put them back on track (75 degrees) and they wer growing like nothing hapened to them. I was afraid they wernt going to make it at the time but they wer fine. As for what he said. I like having longer roots when planted cuz it gives a head start and u will c ur baby spring into action a lil sooner. No reason to b a hater with those results
