need help with clippings

i got some clippings in a dome ive had them in there for about 5 days and alot of the leaves r starting to yellow and 2 got mold on them im using one fluro light and a heating pad and i dont know what to do :wall: +rep for help

pics or it didn't happen. could be too wet, also, did you use fan leaves as cuttings? its a common mistake. what medium are you using?

Mold's not good. Probably means you either have:
too much water, or
too much heat.

Also, if there's mold there, then there's a good chance you've got mold other places.

Bad yellowing that early on isn't very good either. If you get it just right you should have a minimal amount of yellowing throughout the process.

It's silly for me to think about, but before I started growing, I wasn't sure if you were supposed to clone a leaf or what, lol. Heck, I didn't even know the structure of the plant. But, let us not forget that everyone begins somewhere, and they might need help getting to the right place. Anyway, yeah, make sure you're using a shoot to clone and not a leaf.

im using jiffy pellets and there not fan leaves i know how to cut clippings not tryin to sound like a dick i have the ph level at 6.5 and used rooting powder but ooli i think you were right about the heat i lifted the dome up and it was hot as hell so i let them breathe for a little and turned the heatin pad way down

Ive switched from beneficial bacterias to 35% h2o2 about a year ago never been happier. super pearl colored roots and never get fungus nats anymore :grin: this is in hydro btw.
