In hydroponics we seek to emulate and improve the growing conditions for our beloved ladies... In nature ground temperature fluctuates at a very slow pace... therefore I would conclude that as long as the reservoir changed temperatures slowly you are fine... i.e. put in many small bags on a perpetual cycle (so put in one wait two hours put in another wait two hours put in another wait put in a nother wait.... take the first on out & put one in then wait, take the second one out and put one in... and so on) This would drive ME crazy though... why are your res temps so high?
The only things I found within the scientific community about root zone temperatures had to do with pathogenic microlife and parasites if its too high (80+) and no water uptake if its too low (freezing haha).
This is the only thing I could find that says temperature locks out nutrients... in this case Nitrogen. However the plant did not show any changes.. so thats good right.

Hey E.man your just a wealth of information!! Thank you!
Well over the past 3 days since i posted about my res temp problems, i have ducted an ac unit into my cab and have been able to get my res temps at a constant 24C i know this is higher than the recomended but the plants are growig rapidly WHILST slight curling inward is going on.
My PPM is stil 150 but will bump that up to 400 on Sunday with my res change...
Quick question - is it normal to have a SLIGHT discolouration of the roots?? off white at the base's with a slight red tinge, very very slight but white tips in the water... Also, im not sure why my temps are so high, the cab temp is 28C with the MH. Im scared of the HPS now haha. The are wrapped in flashing tape and dynamat, it should be damn insulated!!!
Thank you guys and good luck!
Oh and here are some outdated piccies, will take some when i get home, enjoy!
My Protectors, waiting for any theifs haha!
