How can i get my root and stem stronger

I'VE BEEN GROWING MY PLANT FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS NOW PICS COMING SOON BUT I USED A STICK TO SUPPORT THEM WHEN THEY WERE LITTLE NOW THEY WONT STAND UP AND THE ROOT AND STEM AT THE BOTTOM IS LIKE SUPER THIN HELP ME HELP ME HLEP ME THIS IS MY FIRST GROW AND I WANT TO MAKE IT RIGHT IF ANYBODY CAN HELP ME AND TELL ME HOW TO MAKE MY STEM GROW IT WOULD REALY HELP A FELLOW SMOKER OUT PLUS FOR SOME REASON MY TIPS ARE GROWING YELLOW AND CRACKLIN A LIL BIT I THINK THIS MIGHT BE A FERTILIZER THING I MIGHT'VE STARTED IT KINDA EARLY ITS ONLY BEEN 3 WEEKS BUT ANY HELP WOULD BE WONDERFULkiss-assIM TRYIN TO GET MY GREEN THUMB GOING

well i keep the temp at a good 75 80 it vary's on different days but i have actually two fans in there i just took them out to take the pic one in the front of the door and one in the back corner blowin the cold air in but i have one light its 100 watts reveal lightbulb with the enhanced color spectruim putting out 1260 lumens but thats about it i gave them some fert like a week ago and they started growing yellow tips

is there anyway for me to get the stem at the base of the plant strong enough to support the whole plant cause all it does is fall down ive been holding them up wit a stick but i dont know what to do i dont wanna keep holdin it up then the top will get real big and the stem wont grow at all whats really good mane

fill the pot (near top ) with coir peat,or quality pott mix, no rich mix soils. cover more of stem with that soil, straighten it up and lightly blow a fan on it couple hours a day ,this gives u o solid stem.dont overwater.

With adding more soild to the stem.

But here's one of your problems.

First off, your plants are stretching to much to get the light. That's why they cant stand up on their own, plus your getting a lot of spacing between your nodes. This is because of two things since there still new to the world. You need more blue light, run some 6,500k bulbs if your growing with florescence's not just your red spectrum (2,700k) or so.

Red spectrum travels longer to get to the plant, that's one of the reasons they stretch. Next, lower your lights closer to the plant. Lower it as close as you can get before the temps get to high and before it starts to wilt and burn them. When your plants grow long and lanky like yours your not running enough light close enough to them.

Second your plant is starting to burn at the tips from the nutes you gave it. Hold off on the nutes for a watering or two and give the soil a good flush. Next time you give it nutes water it down some more. You shouldnt have to give it nutes until the 4 week or so depending on the soil you use once it pops from the soil.


How can you fix this grow.
1.) Flush the soil
2.) Lower your lights and add more Blue spectrum
3.) Once the soil hardens a bit I'd trans plant it into a bigger taller pot. You want the soil to come up to about 2 inches from the 2's set of leaves. What this will do is turn the long stem you go going on into roots.
.4) Add a shish kabob wooden stack into the ground just a bit to brace the plant until it can hold it's own.

You grow will take longer to finish but all hope isn't lost for this grow!

i agree most important cfls are like 1 dollar and a clip light is 10. this is a big dif from regular incs. what i do in a situation like this is which ever way the plant is bending toward the light turn it around so that it has to lean the other way. i keep doing this for the wholle grow. good strong stems from the workout

Let me field this one i think i have too much stem lol

u need to put fan on them soon as they out of prop tank - with fans u gonna use more water so bear that in mind just make sure plant has everythin it needs put yourself in thier shoes :

at mo they too crowded - will be bad when roots expand is the remp right ? whats humidity ? ph of soil ? are u watering when soil is dry ? or over watering

also use u nute system this way if u dont have an ec meter u gonna be close to what u should by closely following their charts

just a few thoughts but your girls look none too happy - get researching still time to turn the crop around - but i garentee it will mean spending afew bucks

damn for real i thought the light was too close the wholetime what kind of light should i get im not real up to date on the lighting situations i know the flo's work pretty good but im not sure which one to get i think u might be right about the red light thing cause it does look like they're stretching a lil bitword yo this is really helping me out me out yo for real but tell me whats the proper way to flush a plant like how much water is involved i tried doing that one timeand the leaves just drooped down but they came up in a couple of hours and the same problem is happening butwhat type of blue spectrum light should i use like what is the really good brand

Get 6,500k bulbs (blue)
Get 2,700k bulbs (red)
The more watts that better plus the lumes.
I run 68 watt reds and 56 watt blues.
I use 3 to 4 blue to 1 red when there new crops. Once they got a second set of nodes I got to 3 to 4 reds and 1 blue.
Get those plants out of the same pot if you got 2 or more in the same container. This will kill them down the road.
When it comes to flushing it's depends on what he or she thinks is best. For me I flush with clean room temp water that's been sitting for 2 days. I run enough water until it starts to comes out the bottom of the pot. Wait a 15-20 mins for it to drain and do it again with new clean water. I dont add it all at once because I dont want the plant shifting when the soil get's to wet.

With the 68 and 56 watts I can grow about 4 nice plants to my liken.
At 68 watt CFL their as good as a 300 watt bulb (so the box says)
At 56 watt CFL their as good as a 200 watt bulb (so the box says)

CFL,
compact florescent light.

a normal house light you see that gives a yellow light is more red spectrum. /if you see lights that look blue, they are blue spectrum.
go to home depot or something like that and ask them what are your highest watt/lume cfls in 6,500k and 2,700k.
k=kalvin. the higher the "k" the more the light looks blue. the lower the "k" more yellow the light looks.

All of the info you have so far is great. The only advice I would give is: start over. Your plants are already very messed up and your yield, if they even end up being female will be maybe about an 8th. It's 2 years in butt rape prison per plant. Don't do it unless you can make it at least remotely worthwhile. With the info you got so far, you could probably start over and have a decent plant or two to work with. As it is, they are going to take longer to finish there life cycle than if you started over right now with new plants. The stress and messed up nature of them so far means they will be stunted like no other and take there good ol' time doing there thing. If you start over and do everything right, you could be back and have them flowering before the ones you have now would be ready to flower.

With a CFL you can pretty much be touching your plants with it. The heat is very minimal, you can probably grab it with your bare hand no problem. I've been told 2''-3'' away is good. I would try to go with a bulb that is near 6500k for veg and 3000k for flowering. 'k' refers to the Kelvin scale. The higher the number, the more blue the light. Lower number is more red.(Good for flowering). Finding 6500k CFLs is nearly impossible where I live. Order them through Ebay or something.

Flush your soil if there is a over nute problem, have your fans blowing ALMOST directly on your plants, give 'em a little vitamin B1 and your stems and roots will look better. Vitamin B1 can be found at most nursarys or hydropontic shops. It has been what I've used 40+ years outdoor.

What kind of budget are you on for the lights? If you are sticking with CFLs and you can afford it get a 2-4 foot shop light fixture that runs on T8 bulbs. Then get "daylight" t8s - "6500k" will be printed on their package. I am running four of these bullbs, 48" long each and got two shop light fixtures (the long tube fluorescent fixtures that hang by chains) to run them in - I spent a total of $40 or so at Lowes. Mine hand about 1-2" from the tops of my plants. Just ask the hardware store guy where the shop light fixtures for t8s are. t10s are better if you're limited to a small space. (forget the t12s.) I don't understand why you don't fill that dirt up to the very top of the pot. I can't figure your cup setup by those pix. But my fix for stretching is either transplant and/or add as much more dirt up the stem as you can. My two day old baby is blowing in the wind right now at about 4 inches high, one inch from 42W CFL with dirt up to her ying yang. Cheap solution. Good luck!
