preciate the comments and advice.... i am going to go ahead and try some supathrive tonight.. picked some at the store... so yeah... i also picked up a fan for my veg box im woring on... now all i have to do is wait for family to leave so i can get some build hours in on it... in private... stoned as hell... good thing is i will prolly run a new strain this next grow and i will be able to take clones off her and throw them in the flower box... i guess i will eventually try to get that perpetual weekly harvest thing going after all... i also picked up a jewelers loop... if you notice a diff. in pik quality for certain up close trich shots im capturing... i am figuring my most matured budsare atlike 10% amber after heavy examination lastnight... lemme get them piks for ya...

yeah micro, looking tight! very nice buds & closeups.

a word on trich color... reading smelly's thread, bricktop has some good info about that. basically, even if you're going for the "couch lock" high, you don't really want to let too many trichs get amber. you get a good couch lock from strains with high "cbd" content. amber trichs usually mean thc as been degraded to cbn, which is different and gives a more drousy/confused effect. bricktop says it's almost always best to harvest at 100% cloudy, which is when thc levels peak. anyway, just passing along the good word...

i agree homer... to an extent... i wanna go ahead and go the full 8 weeks with it... even if its a lil late, i will have something to compare it to for future grows... know what i mean... im sorta hard headed in the sense, that i gotta find out for myself... i dunno... i sorta wanna wait and see how long the swell will continue... i wanna get as familiar as possible with this strain... only reason being, is i still wanna keep her alive, and will never know peak harvest for her unless i try out early harvest and late harvest.... thats why i am gladi have a few buds about two weeks more mature than the rest...something to compare to... if these buds are about two weeks ahead, they are already producing ambertrichs at what would be 6.5 weeks flower... that would mean in about a week and a half, i should be able to harvest those, or what would be at about 8 weeks of flowering... i dunno... patience is the key... i want to testmy patience with this one... one reason i actually vegged this time around...

well off to score an eighth of some apollo13... found an eighth for 65... see if its legit and what not... still have some of that northern lights left from the quarter i bought last week... hummm... good bud indeed...

yeah, i know what you mean micro. going by "swellness" is a good idea to me anyway. plus, 8 weeks sounds about right!

wat about sativas with no CBD? like the trainwreck i was growin? it still went amber in late flower. aamber colored trikes r just an indicator of ripeness of the flower.

and "degraded"? didnt know CBD was worse than THC.

rule of thumb: more cloudy trikes = more of a "head" high

more amber trikes = more of a "couch lock" (body) high

(and i misread that it said cbn....)

I totally prefer to get the head high personally. I am looking to see clouds when I harvest. I dont mind a good couch lock every so often, but I like to be a little more social. I am a video nut so I just dig into my extensive dvd library and hook up a few movies. I cant get through one usually with a total couch lock though.

hey fuzzybudz, i was referring to the difference between CBD (good) and CBN (not good). according to the bricktop's info, CBD is found in indica strains and gives the classic couch-lock / body high. meanwhile, CBN is a degraded version of THC that comes from over-ambering the trichs and gives more of a drousy/confused feeling that people mistake for true couch-lock... CBN is like the poor man's CBD.

anyway, here's the link to bricktop's post on smelly's partycup thread:

hope it helps... sorry micro, don't mean to threadjack! just trying to clarify stuff.

peace

Yea If it is true, which with the info he gave to back it up I believe theres a good chance it is. its probably one of the biggest spread lie's in the MJ community... I know most people, shit probably 90% of us are going by the color of the trics and half or more are waiting for amber... So if this is true then all of our bud should turn out a little better as far as the high goes :)

I'll be testing these facts for myself these next couple months and see how this goes.

for sure treez... its all about experimenting... my last grow i still had a lot of cloudy trichs and no amber... so to me... its somewhat experimental.. the other was more of asativa, where as this is agood indica strain... i dunno... they are lookin good and swellin incredibly... lemme get the video up...
