Hitler had control of the entire country. Excellent propaganda machine. There were even a few good German soldiers that TRIED to do the right thing. Had the people not been brainwashed though, the military wouldn't have mattered. Idk, just two different viewpoints, but I think the OP intended this thread to honor soldiers who serve their country with pure intentions. I'm sure that you could start a thread discussing your feelings and get great response without disrespecting the intent in which this thread was started.

I spent a Christmas in Saudi Arabia (Log Base Alpha) during Operation Desert Shield. A few weeks later it would become Operation Desert Storm. It was kind of a depressing Christmas.

Every countries military is the same. They all rape, they all kill, they all are evil. A soldier's job is evil, that's just how it is, that's why soldiers come back fucked up, because people can't do evil without it effecting them. But I would like to make a point that I fucking hate all soldiers......not the men. The second they take off their uniforms I don't hate them.

While I respectfully agree Supgee3, you and I can keep the focus of this thread on praising those that have served. JapanFreak has said WHY he has problems with soldiers and fairly well, I think.

I own 4 acers of land and my house......nobody comes on unless I say so....I still have my Red Ryder BB gun and wo be to anyone comes on my land.....course I shot one eye out when I was a kid with my bb gun and dont have great depth perception but the bb will hurt you if I hit...so be warned.........Fuck the world I live in my own I dont need anything else.......well internet.....uh electric.....maybe water....ok ok.....H E B grocery store. and...............never mind....ignore me

Haha they do, I've got one in the closet. I took one in the leg as a kid too, totally had to dig the bb out with a needle while camping. =)
