Is there such a thing as an honest conservative?

It is bad form to make significant changes to a post after the fact, Buck.

Correcting typos is acceptable.

Adding content is not.

But to be so sloppy as to allow your fellow poster to post both versions for compare and contrast purposes?

You disappoint me.

Tsk-tsk.

Not surprisingly, you missed the point.
no, i got your point and disagree with it.

you seem to think that it is ok for a corporation to exist simply to fatten its bottom line.

rape, pillage, and burn what it must...as long as it is profitable.

i feel corporations have an obligation to support the structure from which they have derived their wealth.

but all you seem to be interested in doing is acting like businesses are being crucified by not being allowed to use child labor or pump out dangerous products or make its workers slave under unsafe conditions.

i'll be sure to cry some crocodile tears for you post haste.

I'm not saying it's okay one way or the other. I'm just telling you that's the way it is.

If you disagree with a corporation's policies, don't buy their shit.

Buy shit from Ben & Jerry's, Tom's of Maine, and L.L. Bean. Good corporate citizens all.

I don't want your tears.

And I sure as fuck don't want to see them coming from Proggie corners when corporations do exactly what Proggies have put them in a position to do.

And frankly, I could give a shit what happens in some third world toilet.

so sue me

That happens, too.

must be tough to be a corporation *snickers*

i paid more out of each and every one of my unemployment checks last year than GE did for the entire year. general electric, that is.

those poor, poor corporations.

unemployment would have been down significantly by now if the nearly 1.5 million jobs they created since the recession began were in the u.s., instead of mining child and slave labor abroad, as we know you prefer. anything for the bottom line, eh?

but as you point out, those poor, blameless corporations are not the ones to point the finger at...it is the government. the big bad government. and its absurd hard on for human dignity.

tell me johnny, how many mcdonalds are up and running in somalia? how about old navy? home depot?

i do not know the answer, to be honest. but i am fairly sure they don't try to make a buck in a place without minimum social structures provided by government. the big, bad government.
WTF does Somalia have to do with anything? Somalia, I've actually spent some time there BTW, is a country which was communist up until the collapse of the Soviet Union in the early 90's. After the collapse, Somalia fell into a near state of anarchy. There isn't much there Buck. Lots of sand, lots of guns, lots of poverty. Somalia isn't in its current state because it wants to be there. It was a victim of of the promises of communism, promises that could never be fulfilled. Somalia is a horrible example of what conservatives want. I don't hear many people advocating for anarchy in this country, just less government. This country is unmanageable as it is. Why do we want to add more to a system that can't fulfill its current obligations?:-?

Arguing with Johnny is like arguing with a brick, same response, same intellect. He is so enamored with self, that he couldn't see shit if he were neck deep in it. I guess you have more patience with him than I, but he has long ago written me off as a commie, pinko, marxist, very flattering actually. His "mind", and I call it that sparingly, is closed like a steel trap, a welded shut safe, full of libertarian ideals, (lies), and other selfish gibberish. Good luck with any actual conversation, I've given up on that loser long ago. Common sense??? WTF is that???

30 years of pay stubs here, never had Unemployment insurance taken out of MY checks. Are you listed as a S Corporation?
accountant here: 3 taxes are deducted from every paystub. 1 is state unemployment, 2 is federal unemployment, 3 is Medicare and Medicaid.

the employer matches the amount the employees pay.

If I have 3 employees, their total Payroll Tax Deductions = 300.

I have to send the government 600. 300 in deductions from my employees wages (their money), 300 in employer match. 300 + 300 = 600.

so yeah, the government does take unemployment insurance from regular employees. Work done by contract work, professional services, etc, don't deduct from pay checks, but those paystubs look different.

i did this for 3 years for a living.

We could easily save the money we need to in this country by cutting our military in half. Did you know we could solve world poverty with 1/10th of annual military budget? That means every human on earth would have food, water, shelter and the medicine they need. Instead we choose to stay at war chasing imaginary 'terrorists' as a front for securing more resources to keep this big sham up that we call the 'American Dream.' As soon as the oil runs out, it's all going to change whether the richies that really run this country like it or not.

awww, be nice mang!

i find it is more like arguing with a sharpening stone, only helps to make my incoherent ramblings sharper, more pointed.

no one ever 'wins' these debates anyway, it is just about exchanging ideas and values.

plus, he seems to know a lot about politics.

I'm still waiting on you to inform me how I tattled on you to the moderators.

You've thrown the accusation out there twice now with no indication of what exactly you are referring.

I really want to know. In other words, put up or shut up.

FYI. The mods don't need me to tell them you are a douche-bag.

They already know.

In fact, everybody knows!

Why go to the mods when I can just make sport of your dumb ass?

This is the music I hear in my head whenever I read a typical Medicineman pity-party rant.

Play this on one tab while you read any random Meddie post on another tab.

Must of rung your chimes, eh? It must be hard to be you, so superior and all. Does your head ever see the light of day, or is it so far stuck up your arse to be in that forgiving darkness that so describes your whole demeanor?

And on it goes....

So much awesome, I can't even try explain it.

He admits it himself with his own meager attempt at deflection.

Seriously... tab the video and read a Meddie rant on another tab.

It's fucking hilarious.

Great, now show me a pay stub from someone who works in a regular employment capacity and show me where the unemployment payment is itemized. Can't do it can you?

BTW, When did you stop taking out for Social Security? Its not listed on the 3 things you supposedly say are taken out of every paycheck, but it gets taken out of mine. Do you not live in the USA?

Some, but not all, I hate when people make all assuming statements. Just becasue they do it in NJ, doesn't mean they do it anywhere else. I have worked in 13 different states and not ever had a deduction for unemployment itemized on any of my paystubs. So for someone to say that ALL paystubs have those deductions is a completely illegitimate statement. If red had said that in a few states they make deductions he would not have had an argument from me, but he stated that all pay checks have this deduction, which is totally false.
