First week of veg in DWC--Top feed for 4-6 days or adjust water level?

I am new to DWC and there are a lot of conflicting information. After you pull your rooted clones out and put into hydroton/net pot.

How do you feed them for the first week of Veg?

TOP FEED through net pot

OR

RAISE WATER LEVEL to bottom of net pot and adjust acordingly?

I raise water level, easier that way, you didn't use rock wool this time i saw so you don't need to worry so much about drowning them. Also i forgot to post that i would flower both of the GG in soil now, but you may wait to make sure these take in your DWC.
Back on subject, i would raise the water like 1-2 inches above the bottom of the net cup. I'm not sure i would recomend this with the rock wool however, but i don't like rock wool at all, personal opinion

AE86- Thanks for the fast reply! Id REP U but RIU wont let me... I raised it to about 1/2" into the net pot for now, my bubbles are pretty centered and im hoping it will reach.

Is this too low or should I go the full 1" above the bottom? I just dont want issues with too much water?

i would just wait as long as it is touching the pot it should work not only do the bubbles help but the humidity in the res is going to be very high and believe me its in these plants genetics to seek not just the water but the moisture as well wont happen over night but believe me soon you will see roots keep the water up.

drgreen is most likely right here and would probably be the way to go when you get your seeds that are in the rock wool into the dwc, i actually run a shallow water system that i drown the whole plug at times, doesn't work with rock wool. I have done DWC also and have had success with what i recommended but im sure your 1/2 will be more than enough.

.....wont happen over night but......

- I did a soil to hydro transplant at 4-5 am last night
- I had the water level 1/2" under the net pot over night
- I checked them today when the lights turned on at 6pm and had roots!
- 11 hours

i stand corrected hahaha it may happen over night i also did soil to hydro transplant with DWC and it took a while for them to pop roots but they where already in flower so they had to revert back it was a pain but a buddy couldnt take care of them so being a green thumb and of course loving the MJ i had to do it lol.

So I phed some distilled water and tossed it in to raise my level. (was this a mistake knowing I am running my well water?

I checked my ph and it was 6-6.5

I checked it an hour later and its at 7.....Is this to be expected? Or does it depend on my water/mineral content/buffer abilities?
