did you give them only 12 hours of darkness before starting flower? I've read that 24-36 hours of darkness kickjumps the whole process. I did that with my grow (36 hours) and i had signs of sex in 6 days of 12/12
everything looks great. Good luck to you to sir :)

The person who gifted me the mystery seed has a peculiar sense of humor. He isn't confessing but I'm 99.99% sure he knew the seed was Sativa. He is the same guy who did this to me the last time. I wouldn't put it past him to do it to me again.. well that and the constant giggling every time I mention that I think it's a Sativa.

I didn't know that. I'll keep that in mind on my next grow. In the meantime, the shorter GAL.. yep.. that's right IT'S A GIRL!!!!.. is showing flowers already. *passing out chocolate cigars* Just two days into the 12/12 cycle. I already know the scary bitch Sativa will take a lot longer to produce flowers. I thought it was flowering and mentioned it in a previous post but it turned out to be new leaf sets.

I think I just found out who SBS's (scary bitch sativa) mommy and daddy are. I'm 90% sure this is a Haze1 from Nirvana Seeds. It's a monster! I was looking through the reviews and someone else had a mystery pack (the same type of mystery pack the person who gifted me these seeds had) and what he is going through is what I'm going through. Plus he showed some pics and they look identical.

I think I'm going to need a bigger boat.....

P.S. female flowers are popping up all over the shorter bagseed plant. I love her. Sexy little thing.

My sexy new gal. :) this is the shorter Indica dominant (I think). She is coming along rather nicely.

I was finally contacted by the company I ordered my 400W HPS system and 250W bulb. By email. They're "Looking into it." This has been going on since 12/16 I have left numerous voicemail messages and they choose to contact me by email. Wow.... First line of the email... "What's your name and we will look into it" No apologies or oh my gods or anything that would make me want to order from them again. The strange thing is I have ordered from them before without a single issue.

:: sigh :: Oh well...

Update: Watered and nuted on 10/09/11


  • 1 Tbs. Grow Big
  • 1 Tbs. Tiger Bloom
  • 1 Tbs. Big Bloom
  • 3 liters of water each
Vertical growth slowed to a halt for about a week. After nuting and watering they are taking off again. The only thing I can think of is the nuting schedule. Last week I nuted sans Grow Big so maybe they lacked the nitrogen for new growth? :: shrug ::

My patience is being tested... START FLOWERING ALREADY!! :P

Watered yesterday. They looked a little thirsty. 1/2 gal. each. Just plain water. Will nute and water again on Sunday.

personal note: started 12/12 on the 4th of Jan. It is now the 13th. 9 days into the 12/12 light cycle.

My 400W HPS is being delivered as I type this and I will hang it up first thing in the morning. Perfect timing. Why?

Because the SBS (Scary Bitch Sativa) started flowering today. And. She was DAMNED sneaky about it. I went over her with a magnifying glass and my best reading glasses (shut up, I'm getting old). Not so much as a pimple. I checked on the girls before I put them to bed tonight and noticed a weird protuberance coming from one of the nodes. Sure enough it was a female flower. Then I started looking really close and they were all over my rather large lady.

I'M SO ELATED. I was debating whether or not to pull it since it wasn't showing signs of flowering and it is taking over my grow area. Now that I have my 400W light it's no longer a problem. Woohoo!!!! I'm already getting a second grow area ready so they can both stretch and grow without fighting for space.

Yay me! :D

Well the 400 watter is up and running. The plants seem to love it. I'm still fighting the urge to destroy SBS. I think it's purely a defensive reflex. It's a big damn plant. If I don't kill it now it may kill me later. She truly is a scary bitch sativa. :p

Im subscribed! Im growing some bag seed myself, i'm pretty sure they are sativa. God, after i switched to flowering they grew 2 feet in 2 weeks (and all 3 turned out to be female, couldn't believe it!!!!)

I pulled a newbie mistake. I burned the shit out of my Indica girl. I'm used to the 250W and I kept it about 12 inches above the canopy. All I did was swap out the lights and kept the height the same.

Big Mistake.

She is very displeased. The SBS (Scary Bitch Sativa) loved it. Not so much as a scorch mark, AND, she popped all kinds of new leaf sets.

Bitch.

I'm hoping I didn't stress my little girl out too much. Stay a girl. I have nothing against alternative lifestyles but I prefer my Cannabis to be a girl. No offense. :p

Watered and nuted today.



  • 1 Tbs. Grow Big - to counteract my idiocy and help with growth after burning the shit out of the indica
  • 1 Tbs. Big Bloom
  • 1/2 Tbs. Tiger Bloom
  • 3 liters water each
I'm starting this week to water twice per week. They are getting more thirsty as they get bigger. They were starting to get droopy yesterday. I don't want to stress them out too much so I will test the soil and check the weight of the grow bucket before the droopiness gets too pronounced.

It really pisses me off that I allowed the light to burn my girl. Oh well, live and learn.
