Ok... here we are day 44 in the aeroponics chamber.

These are 3 plants that survived the original 8 germinations of 10 seeds.

24/0 cycle ramping up 4 CF every 7 days or so

each plant has 2 clones all nice and healthy

so the decision was made to take 2 cuttings from each of the three plants. This way we have pure female clones for how ever many females we end up with.

flowering starts next week. I am expecting a 6-7 week flowering phase. I will try and keep the nutrient solution as high as possible.

Anyone with tips on sexing???

male flowers will be a pod on a stem, or a cluster of balls, females will be an inset flower with two hairs poking out.

Does anyone have experience with flowering big bud? I wonder if anyone can tell me how long it takes for pre-flowers to develop.

Ok... tonight we switched from veg to flower with the 400W HPS. 12 on and 12 off. The plants are just short of 30" tall now. They are sucking up the water and spitting it out in the air. The humidity has been in the upper 80s (RH%), so we added a de-humidifier in the tent to help out. Now we are around 75-80 F and 45-55% RH.

We made some more cuttings from each of the three plants. When we figure out which ones are girls we will have 4 clones ready to go.

Now the hunt begins for preflowers...

All suggestions are welcome.

OK, here are some pics from the 3 plants that are flowering.

We don't know the sex of these 3 plants yet so we made some clones from each plant so when they are FINALLY sexed we can start growing the next generation. We set up a Rainforest 36 (6 -3" pots) for the first set of clones we cut. Then we put another set of clones in the clone box. Overnight there was an issue with the position of the pump. The plant dried out a bit and they looked pretty stressed. We filled up the pot with fresh water and after 3 or 4 hours they are looking much better. Hopefully this wont set us back too much.
