.rar compresses marginally better, .zip is more compatible/universal.

Mp3's are compressed data, too! More like 100's of compression applications:)

oh shit i didnt know mp3 were compressed files!! Thanks for telling me that. i would have never guess that. Though i bet it it werent for mp3 music files would be insanly fucking huge lol

yeah i was just wondering. cause when i download a cd its either in zip or rar. so i just was curious as to what compress better.

Iso is an exact copy of the disk its really cool for dvd cause its got the menu and bonus features like subs and shit. but i just use plain old mp3 and mp4 and avi files, music and movies, i use Utorrent and my torrent site of choice is btjunkie then piratebay them iso hunt then mininova

If you're downloading, and not compressing the files yourself, it really shouldn't matter.

It sounds like you are just downloading then extracting. Doesn't make a difference on the end file audio quality. Not that I have ever seen/noticed.

it's a disk image. if you download software you want the ISo. You can mount it with software like a regular CD/DVD. it is really wonderful. Do you use piratebay? what's mediafire?
i use a iso program :) virtual clone drive

yea i use demonoid

mediafire is just a file hosting website. Very very easy to obtain any cd you want thourgh mediafire :D shhhh

This compression is unbelievable ....

In terms of zip over rar ... same format in essence.
Use 7zip to extract both ...
open source so nice and free ...
