today I tested the sample ! made a nice joint that blew my mind for about 4 hours. was still very wet but loved it ! after trying out the sample I decided to chop her down ( the hermie ) very hard work ! the other one is still going with the 400w on top of her. buds are light green and purple very sexy =D . I think the seeds are still immature cos when crushed sample found 1 small green ball very soft. will know in the future. will try uploading better quality pics in the near future =]
how many of them did u find? just the one or a few down below? i found one of them once, dont think it was hermi though. mine was like 1-2mm wide light green, soft and roundish???
i think full spectrum cfls 2'' above your plants is definitely going to promote tighter nodes than ur 2 ft from that hps. ill post pics of two different grows if i can find them using two setups like these. if youve got ideal ventilation and a cooltube and you can get that ps 8''-10'' from the plants then i would agree with you big v. also light exposure also effects this. as far as i know when i start 24/0 for first 2-4 weeks veg before switching to 18/6 my nodes are super compact as opposed to stretching in dark periods early in veg. just from my exp. tho...could be wrong.
haha ok man so that will be next wednesday or so.. also I'm planning on drying the plant as a whole not cut each individual branch and hang to dry what do recommend on this ?
my hps is about 10"-12" from top of plants with a cooltube I will probably get as close as 4" but then there is a problem of light bleaching, even at 12" some of my buds are bleached due to being so close but thanks for the advise I myself prefer using cfls in veg as the plants are still very small
the first pic is at 25 day. first 14 24/0 now at 18/6 with a 200w cfl daylight spectrum. and its bushy vs the other which is same light schedule same age just more stretched imo cuz i have to keep the 400hps so much higher above it. dont get me wrong im pretty sure the hps makes up for it during flowering. mh for sure better than cfl but i think if you have the cfl light power to match 70% of the usable radiation in the hps, during veg, your plants will do better they need that blue spectrum. as always i could be wrong but the way im doing things is working pretty well so far.
cooltubes are for sure the way to go. strains will all act differently but i know throughout flowering i can put my 600hps/cooltube ~10'' above my god's gift and they thrive on it.
haha I wish dude. where I live its quite different you wont find anything to buy related to growing plants indoors and also I have to be careful what I ship to my address.=/
thats awful i feel like people grow all kinds of plants using lighting and such you can also check out i think marine lights and ballasts lol and street lights are all hps so there has to be somewhere near you that caries products for them ie ballasts and bulbs but i guess you might have to make homemade reflectors so your cool tube idea is still foiled hahahaa. id almost say find them out here and id ship em to you just cuz thats super fucked up with the lack of availability and all.
