advice please best way to find males ?

hello,
friend told me his light went out for three days and when he restarted light plants showed sex.is this a good idea or just put them in flower room and wait? and whens the best time ?

from what i have read i beleive its best to wait untill flowering is induced then sex your plants and get the males out. unless of course you want to fuck up your crop. i think turning the lights off for 3 days would cause unnesescery stress on the plants hence maybe why they started showing sex. p.s im new to all this so dont just take it on my word the pros will tell you more

When your plants mature in veg, they will show sex. Normally when the plant gets just over 12" it will start to show sex. You have to look at the 6th-7th node and there will be a male or female pre sex there. Google pictures.

there you go a man who knows his stuff.. of coarse you could eliminate any males and buy feminized seeds or get some fem clones if poss.

I always buy fem seeds being I do not like to waste time or money. But that does keep me limited to certain strains.

Not the case.. even with fem seeds/ clones we can still get males if the conditions aren't right

I have been growing from fem seeds for over 3 years now and I had one Hermie out of a 100 fem seeds, and that came from an auto fem seed.

Although this will work I do not recommend it.

I was going to lip off to the OP till I saw he was using my favorite 5" pots.

With non fem seeds I reccomend taking a clone from each of your plants.

Think about what is best for you and either put the clones into flower (lets the plants you took the clones from veg a little longer) or if you are ready to flower veg the clones and flower the plants you took them from.

With non fem seeds I reccomend taking a clone from each of your plants.

So you advice is to take clones from plants that are under developed? causing growth to slow for no reason?
You think his plants are ready to take clones from yeah?
At the end of the day your always best to wait until the plant is mature enough to show sex.. instead of forcing sexing unless you one of them dirty cash croppers??

Everyone i know waits for pre flowers before flipping to 12/12 by doing so you cause the plants less stress and the increased veg time can result in greater yeilds.. And at the end of the day when we grow indoors we are trying to replecate mother nature..
And i'm pretty she don't clones lol

No thats not always the case.. you'd need to grow out a test crop to see if the hermie trait was recessive or domient.. but 9/10 times the hermie trait will be carried on by seed..
Breeders do alot of fancy shit to stablise there seeds.. don't you think if it was just a case of stressing the plant to be come a ladyboy to create a line of fem seeds we wouldn't all be doing it??
Breeders work damn hard to bring us fem seeds..

Very obvious that you have little or no experience growing in confined spaces.

Every bit of your advise will result in plants that are too tall for most indoor growing spaces.

Because mother nature has no height restrictions we have to compensate when growing indoors.

STRESSING A PLANT UNNECESSARILY IS NOT THE ANSWER...
if height indoors is a issue you can lst or scrog there's no need to force flowering..

And before you running your mouth son do some research i grow indoors son and have done for years..
And by the looks of things i get much better results then yourself..
