Strain: Female Seeds X-Line Pure AK
Growth: Grade 9/10
Grown in a mix of: 3 parts Foxfarm Ocean Forest, 3 Parts Roots Organic and 1 part perlite.....Grows quickly, a nice balance of Indica and Sativa. Also clones very well. Definitely likes being topped. Flowering time seems to be short (I harvested at 50 days w/ trichs being 2/3 cloudy) Will be letting the next few go to 60 days I think.
Nutes: In veg only nutes used were Alaskan fish Emulsions w/ every watering. In flowering added Botanicare Pure Blend Pro every other watering
Yield: Grade: 8/10
I harvested a small plant and used that as my smoke report. I have several flowering, vegging and rooting also. Yield seems to be slightly above average. In the pic from left to right: Sharksbreath, Violator Kush and Pure AK on the far right
Bag Appeal: Grade: 9/10
Does nicely here, even though I harvested a little early there's nice trich coverage. Even the stems are covered in a thin layer of trichs.
Smell: Grade: 9/10
Pungent smell, it fills the air when the jar is popped. If smell is a concern in your grow this strain is not a good option. Smell is a combination of a light fuel type smell w/ a floral citrus.
Taste: Grade 8.5/10
Tastes as it smells. Smoke is expansive, get greedy w/ a bonghit and you will pay. Not very distinct, but a nice dank taste to go w/ the smell
The High: Grade: 8.5/10
Very nice high, to me an ideal combination of Sativa and Indica buzz. Smoke a little and its a very functional up high, smoke a little more and couchlock kicks in.
Comments: I have to say that Im very happy. The Female Seeds catalog is all pretty inexpensive, I paid less than $30 for my pack. Got good germination rate, quick growing and flowering and a high quality smoke. My cheap pack of beans produced better quality plants and smoke than seeds Ive paid 2-3 time as much for.
The strain grows fast and easy. Nice buds that are frosty and have a heavy smell to go with it. I would have to recommend this strain as a solid "cash cropper" due to the fast growth, acceptable yield and quality smoke.
This strain is now going to be the backbone of my perpetual grow. Fits the needs of a perpetual grower very well with the quick rooting and flowering that the strain has.
