Alright guys, pretty simple question but what is the best way to transition your plant onto flowering nutes? I am using roots organic buddah grow right now & transitioning to Earth Juice bloom. They've only been on 12/12 for 5 days now so I've just been giving them the roots organic, with a tsp of the earth juice bloom, slowly increasing. It doesn't make sense to me that a plant all of a sudden needs less nitrogen when it starts to flower, it seems like still providing nitrogen would just cause your plant to continue to flourish during flower?

Maybe I'm confused, helps appreciated!

To my knowledge, Nitrogen is good, you are starting low in the nutes anyways. if you don't see any problems. =\ maybe there are no problems

What would you normally feed them for veg? Take a third of what you would use for veg and replace that with bloom nutes, and step it up from there eventually not using any veg nutes. That's how I see it, and what I did for mine based off the feed schedule from the manufacture.

Um then all nute makers are crazy for making bloom lower in N than Grow.....

Oh you must have realized you were wrong and deleted your original post where you said More N for flower is BETTER

Exactly. The guy above said not to lower the N when going to bloom. Before he edited his post.

holy shit *smacks self in face*. you want big flowers with multiple sites? stop using veg nutes. use bloom nutes with just a small amount of veg to help it through stretch. p and k if used before switching the light cycle will boost up the cell walls, and increase the amount of sites. the only time you need to add nitrogen right now is if they show def. they want all the bloom nutes they can handle, jus dont burn them with nitrogen. one of my best grows i just used veg nutes the whole time, but added monster bloom (0-50-30) and the bud stuck to the wall after drying.

exactly use half of your last nute mix adding your flowering nutes
your goin to back off on nitrogen during your flowering process and more of P and K usually when goin into 4th week there signs of nitrogen def but just keep to the program as you will be still adding N but not as much

week one flowering 1/4 to 1/2 of veg nutes with flowering nutes
week 2 is when you start adding carbo boost and just flowering nutes
and so on

depending on how long you vegged and type of nutes used might be a good idea to flush your plants of any salt build ups week before goin into flowering

among all the hot chicks posted, she held her own.:hump: lol! Then Fdd had to come and close the thread:sad:
this makes me cringe, i use it as an experience gauge. i think i might have a couple points from dumb shit i wrote, but almost all are from helping others. i thought thats what they were about. whatever, *takes toke*

Someone like to explain how dropping your N to the point of yellowing leaves causes P and K to produce bud ?
Best plants Ive seen on here are keep green till the end .

You drop N to the point JUST BEFORE yellowing leaves. Add N as needed... or not needed....

A lot of strains will yellow toward the end of flower naturally... Its part of the process.....

A better question is why do Fox farm.... AN... Canna .... GH.... Dyna.... etc. etc. use less N in their bloom products.

most of those plants are fully flowered and the growers use seperate nutes for n,p, and k. also organic soil wont turn them yellow as much. they turn yellow because the plant is dying. the plant produces the bud faster when dying but not more in the end. most of us growers want the fastest plant possible. i assume the best plats youve seen were prob outdoors since they produce the largest colas and look the best. and your not purposely dropping nitrogen to yellow them. after stretching, they use less therefore you dont need to give them as much. yellowing is natural in most strains.
