I would say that is more of a DEA backed charge in cooperation with local authority, than it is an Obama agenda. Remember, it still is a Federal crime. I think its less that Obama is back peddling and more that he is spineless and is trying to stay clear of controversy in favor of being reelected in 2012. I say good. And in his second term get on his ass about it.. at which point he has the driving force to do so. Think of this turning into a controversy, and he not get reelected, and some neo-con Republican gets elected. Do you think MMJ has a better chance of survival then? I think not. Good day sir.

Yup, this shit is real people and in less than 2 weeks we might not have a single dispensary open in San Diego. If you are in SoCal you can find info on Stop the Ban facebook page. They are the one's trying to stop this but it seems their effort may be bleak.

That ordinance will likely be taken to superior court.. good chance of being overturned. It's state law.

I agree man. It's totally shitty. Shit man, I think MJ should be legal, period. For anyone. I'm with ya all the way. But I'm just saying there is some light at the end of the tunnel. If the ordinance goes into effect, it's not the end of the world.

Yep. I agree.

Side note: When you say ILLEAGLE, are you referring to an Eagle that is "ill", as in a cool eagle? The kind of eagle you would want as a friend?

It looks like the feds aren't pressing charges...just confiscating all the mj, grow supplies, and computers?

The Supreme Court can't rule on anything if there are no charges and no appelate visit. This is very peculiar.

Actually Pony, the San Diego bill that is in the works will decide whether or not to place new Zoning restrictions on MMJ dispensaries. I am worried it will pass but it will not really affect the user but mostly the D's. There are so many dispensaries popping up here in san diego and I am everywhere. There are now over 200 in SD. Pick up a free San Diego Reader and the last 4 or 5 pages is nothing but coupons and flashy ads for dispensaries and places who will have you in and out and ready to smoke in an hour. Essentially San Diego is hardcore Rebuclican but populated by hippies. I have not figured it out yet but I will someday. What the bill will state is that dispensaries can no longer be in incorporated areas and must not be within 1000 feet of schools, neighboorhoods where children may be present etc..etc. Pretty much they will be restricted to industrial areas which sucks but the place I frequent has nothing but construction companies and cement gravel processers and such. If you go to the forum on WeedMaps.com and find the forum. Click san diego patients and give it a read through. There is a pretty extensive thread on going there headed up by WisdomOrganics that is a good read. I hope every one that lives in San Diego and reads this goes to the Stoptheban website and rights their letter.

I had to stop smoking in case I have to take a drug test and have been having nothing but pain in my stomach, can't eat for shit and I'm even starting to believe I have anxiety. What did I do? I started drinking more beer, just to get by. I want to be able to smoke my meds, I never smoke too much, I only smoke as much as my body needs and this is for minor symptoms. What are the patients who really need it day in and day out going to do without their medication?

Fuckin pigs need to make money somehow and they know that marijuana is a cash crop for government funding. Instead of putting DEA agents out of a job to enforce a stupid law they would rather put growers and dispensaries out of a job.
