Those are the cheapest of the crappiest LED panels made up of pieces that are not optimized or ideal for growing at all. They don't really have a reflecting lens so the light is spread everywhere = no penetration, lights run on very low wattage and are 1w leds in spectrums/wavelengths of deficient degrees for cannabis. The panels that look like those in these pics are basically as good as Christmas lights slapped together. I've tried to tell people of how much they can save in various threads before with LED over HPS.The electricity was never a problem as my bill for the first month was only 86 bucks, the second month was around the same and the third month I added a 1000w hps and my bill went to 456 bucks. so two 300wLED on 18/6 =$86, while 2 300wLED+1000w hps on a 12/12 = $456.

What are you talking about?! The equation is W=VA. So a (drawn) Watt IS a Watt. You will save on cooling, yes. You can use a bit less wattage for the same results, yes. Not all watts are created equal but they are charged equal as 1 watt in a machine might not have the same amps or volts as a watt in another machine, but you get charged by the KW hour at least in the US and as far as that goes a Watt is a Watt. I would have to agree a watt is a watt, which is why led's kick hps in the ass.......My bible says "By Tailoring the diodes' light spectrum to plant requirements, LED's can be more efficient PAR producers. HPS lamps deliver more total light per watt of input but led's are twice as efficient in PAR light as HPS lamps. That means a 200w LED can be substituted for a 400watt HPS lamp, and the 300watt LED can be substituted for the 600watt HPS lamp."What are you talking about?! The equation is W=VA. While math might say you could replace a an HID with 1/2 the wattage in an LED panel, I've never seen any real world results using LED panels that showed they could produce anymore than maybe 30% in weight over HID watt for watt. I'll believe a 200w LED going at least as well as a 300w HID but 400w might be pushing it unless its of the highest quality LED panel. I will definitely save on cooling as my 395w panel doesn't put out enough heat to warm my bedroom so even in the summer the AC won't be needed for the light but just the heat from outside. I don't know how to figure it out for sure but if I had to guess I would say watt for watt my high quality LED panel puts out about 20% (or less) as much heat as my 400w HPS system did.
