seems kinda like an oxymoron to me... weed growing site people opting to not do the bud pic competition...when that is our largest asset.... but meh its cool majority rules if a bunch of people who don't have good bud pics wanna come in here and swamp my opinion that's fine, and as I said, I should have expected this to happen.

I just don't see why we can't have ONE bud pic competition...this guy has plenty of shit to give away... why do you all need to jump on the ONE thing I could win at? lol....... you know I got some of the best bud pics on this website... so it's obvious people don't want to compete... but it's only ONE competition...

I'm all for other competitions...but voiding out the bud pic competition entirely because you don't think you have a chance is bullshit... there should be atleast one...

but like I said... I'm used to the majority coming in here swamping what I think making me look like a fool for saying anything...and I expect this after this post...lol

lol like that even matters to me... just because I've seen most shit on this site and my pics were better doesn't make me arrogant... this is simply an observation...

I would love for someone to try to show me outdoor bud pics that beat that one I just posted...

it seems much more likely that everyone wants to do different shit than a bud competition because they don't have jack shit in that area to contend with.... they'd rather do things they can actually win at..which is cool, but don't get rid of the bud pics competition in general just because you don't have jack shit to contend with....

I understand Poplars anti-commercialism with his photography and grows. I also understand your wanting the contest to reflect thanks to the sponsors... Run it the way you see fit, but be open to criticisms and suggestions. I think most people will vote based on popularity of screen character anyways. Based on that alone, I'd like to congratulate Stoned Pony in advance.

The only way to have an unbiased contest in a forum is to submit photos or whatever the contest is without knowing who submitted the entry. Only the person running the contest should know who submitted the pictures, then you can have an unbiased poll.

Ezclone rep chooses his top three pics, Groovy hydro rep chooses his top three entries.

These reps don't know fdd, from serapis, from St Verde, they ain't ever even been on this site. So to say they are voting on the popularity of the OP here seems pretty silly to me...

yah, the only thing about the whole anonymous entries is, only way I could see making it work was if everyone private messaged me their entries, then I would have to copy and paste everyone entries over to the thread, sounds like a pain in the ass to me, having copy and pasting 100 entries ...
It takes some thought trying to get the logistics of a giveaway contest figured out, if people arn't happy with it or don't think its going to be fair, I don't want to put anymore effort into this. There ain't anyone else doing this shit, so I pretty much had to come up with everything myself.

And then I got asshats coming up in my thread causing me a headache, when I was just trying to do something nice for everyone....

Yea I agree, for a stoner forum there is quite a bit of anger. If a mod were able to help out by locking the thread and keeping it open only for voting then it might work out, keep the useless posting away from a poll and it might actually work...

Props to MediMary though, it's not often you get a chance to win a cool EZ-Cloner...or anything at all for that matter.
