Sinking Seeds

i put my one seed in a container of water to germinate it. and when i looked at it today it was at the bottom when yesterday, it was afloat. is this normal? should i take the seed out of the water or just let it do its thing till it cracks?

that's what a good seed will do, float for a while, then sink
i let them crack the taproot until it moves a bit out of the shell

alright thanks. i moved it into a sponge because i wasnt sure. :/ should i put it back in the water?

Yah, you know, it totally just makes zero sense to start a seed in the media you're going to be growing in. :roll:

The reason it sank is because its slightly cracked..Hence the reson why it sank because the casing filled with water..Within 24hrs you should see a tap root from a sinker...
