Do you have a passive exhaust?

And where are you pulling your fresh air from? Immediately outside the area?

what is a passive exhaust?
also its in a closet so i have the door open for air for now till solution
what does air coming in the room have to do with making the 500 cfm work better?
im not sure how the air flow works

Say you are driving down the road in a car and you open one window... The air kinda flutters around but doesnt really enter the car much. Open the passenger window and the air starts whipping through the car. That is airflow.

Now, you need to exhaust the hot air away from the closet. Otherwise, the air just outside the closet will get hot and you will have the same problem.

You will need to either cut holes in the closet door or replace the door with a temporary that you can cut holes in. A passive return is simply a hole cut in the door or wall to allow fresh air to enter the grow. Typically passive returns/intakes are at the bottom to bring in cool air. You install the fan at the top of the room and have it blow the hot air through a hole in the top of the door and through some flexible ventilation duct to somewhere it wont re-circulate into the grow room.

If that doesnt keep temperatures down far enough then you need to look at a sealed hood.

Everyone tries to grow in a closet and it is really difficult for ventilation.

perfect analogy, yes i understand what you mean
i dont have a sealed hood only cause i wanted to get full coverage but i will get ne if possible
i have a flexible duct going to the outside for the ventilation i just need oto make the hole from the veg room to the flower romm considering its just a white board dividing them and im supposing i need a fan to blow through the hole into the flower room
you think if i do that hole that the 500 cfm fan will work much better?

so does anyone think if i get a sealed hood with ventilation in the hood that will drop it down signifigantly?
if so would a inline duct fan work with that or will i need to get a vortex?

you wouldn't want it to blow on the light, you would want it to suck away from the light.
i know what u mnean would a 50 cfm inline duct fan work for that?
also what i meant is do i still need a reg ocilating fan to blow on the light also to help or is the inline fan good enough?

You need at least 200 cfm to pull heat off a sealed hood(600wt).When you get a sealed hood your temps will drop into the mid 80s bro.You will be surprised how much that helps your grow. You can buy a 6inch duct fan at home depot for about 40 bucks and it has 250 cfms if money is tight

i already have a 500 cfm fan from home depot i just need the hood, someonme said something about a cool tube? those are a bit more expensive tho, would that be better for coverage or is the sealed hood better?

If you are running your lights during the day, you might consider running them at night. that should shave of around 10 degrees and save you money, you just need to worry about light leaks then.

the fan you have would work fine. what hood are you using at the moment? is it possible to seal it? does it have ducts/holes on each end of it? may be cheaper than having to buy a whole nother one.
