I don't know if you guys have heard, but America has hit the debt limit, at 14.3 Trillion dollars. So as you all know, we're fucked. America is pretty much some what on top of the world right now, with the strongest military force. That might spark up some wars with other countries, while they're looking at us some what vulnerable trying to get our act together. but put that aside. If we legalize marijuana, and tax the fuck out of it, it can maybe easily get us out of debt. Think about it... Being able to walk into your local 7-11 and be able to buy a pack of marijuana cigarettes, or something like that.

if we legalize it who would buy it? itll be every where.
I could be wrong... But i don't think it would be everywhere with everyone smoking, and being able to buy weed from the store... I would do that lol. Americans buy marijuana illegally every day, and I'm sure they'd love to buy it from a store.

You better get ready to smoke an awful lot, because 14.3 trillion would be alot of taxed MJ.

If it were legalized, or at least decriminalized, even if it's not taxed in the least bit,
money could still be saved on law enforcement man hours hunting down MJ users, and growers.
And even more money can be saved housing MJ offenders in jails, and prisons.

It costs upwards of $30'000 per year to house a prisoner in prison for 1 year. Xs that by the amount
of people that are in prison or jail, or those that would end up going. It would save billions.

it wouldn't fix the debt but it would be a start what we need to have happen is the fat pocketed bastards in Washington to get off their asses and realize they are spending way to much fucking money paying themselves, will they ever fix that fuck no but they waste millions a year on salaries that at the state level are done for a quarter what they make in Washington

The states (and federal too) that have overcrowded prisons and jails, send their prisoners to private prisons.
CCA is one of the private prisons. They are one of the biggest supporters on tougher laws. They lobby all the
time for this. It's like job security.

i have a job... i am a electrician... but i just love the extra paper...
And i respect that :).

It definitely wont fix the problem, but it would for sure be a good start. Legalizing MJ alone wouldn't generate trillions that would be needed to fix the debt. If we did something like Amsterdam, and created tourism attractions like they do for weed, there could be a lot of taxing that would also help.

Prohibition creates more of the demand therefore more money and supply. Legalizing it would lower the saturation of the market or at the very least not effect the supply. It just keep the good folk out of jail and less people will be murdered over it.

if they legalize it... it would put me out of bizness...
Keeping it illegal so a few dealers could make a few dollars doesn't seem logical to me.

If it does get legalized, the dealing scene probably wouldn't change too much, not everyone
knows how to grow, and it still does cost money to grow it, and it will always be profitable.

yeah but alot of people bitch about it being legal cause they cant afford to smoke as much as they would like. to produce quality indoor its still going to cost alot. just like medication costs alot. only differnce is your money will go to sum fuck that you dont even know. at least as of now your money goes to sum fuck that you dont even know and then that fuck spends it in his cummunity.
