So I just took my pre employment drug and physical test. I've been smoke-free for 3.5 weeks and confidently used my pee to fill the cup. The technician put samples in an instant-result test, which I presume tested negative because she filed two tubes with my urine to the lab and sent me on my merry way to see the doctor. A home drug test indicated no THC anyways.
Did the hearing test, the vision test, blood pressure, etc. All was fine.
Then the doctor told me, with no introduction, to "drop my drawers." I was really shocked. I asked why, and told him that this is a pre-employment physical only, and that I don't see the relevance to my job. He said he usually checks for a hernia. I'm just out of college -- I don't have a hernia. I asked if it was required and he said no, that he'd just need to write that I declined the hernia inspection, but that I'm "all set."
Will my refusal be an issue with my employer? Assume everything else was fine. I don't like having some random doctor who didn't even introduce himself touching my junk, not unless my employment is dependent on it.
