it's been under 18/6 of 250w MH. watered and fed regularly.

I wouldn't plant in a clear/translucent pot. Can encourage growth of fungus/mold in the soil, as well as inhibiting root growth. Looks like a fungal attack or something. The only other time I have seen something a severe was when my flowering plants got rot, which is a fungal attack. All the new shoots rot , wither, and die. Spray a 10 ml bleach to a gallon of water and see what happens, as well as re-potting to a dark pot with relatively dry soil around your root ball. Keep it dry, dry.

I think it just needs some grape koolaid and some Mrs. Butterworth's syrup, the syrup always brings my blasted plants back and there is nothing like 2 cup-o-sugar grape koolaid to give it that nice purple cooler and grape-ape tasty smoke at the end!!!
