Do You Accept The Theory Of Gravity?

Do you believe that this theory might actually hold water, it is after all just a theory.

(actually this is a response to the annoying "Do You accept the theory of Evolution", so I hope this shows how strong real theories are.)

nope. fuck gravity.

god chooses who to gravitate and who to let fall.

i am going to go throw myself off the fucking roof right now. i am in god's hands. he will guide me down gently.

oh, and by god, i mean the christian god. that allah mother fucker is a fucking asshole!

the question is ill phrased and it's in the wrong sub-forum.

gravity itself isn't a theory. it's a phenomena described by two scientific publications:

the 'law of universal gravitation' or whatever newton wrote, and einstein's general theory of relativity.

either way what comes up must come down.... that's what she said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

gravity works and is an effect of mass on space-time. that's about all we know about it.
it is also an implied particle that you can't directly observe, also thought to be transdimentional.

helium floats in air just like wood does on water, its a matter of relative density. the earth pulls on the balloon its just that its not a strong enough force to keep it grounded due to heliums small mass. Space shuttles? its called thrust/lift, yes the earth is pulling it down but a space shuttle puts out more upward force (while burning fules, remembering the conservation of energy) then the earth pulls down on its (kinda like jumping but for an extended period of time) this space craft can now reach an escape velocity where you "break free" from gravity (its still acting its just ur KE^ is proportional to the gravitational pull down, so you feel weightless)...

now david blane even stephen hawkins would have trouble figuring out that guy

gravity is also the weakest force of the major 4. even a tiny magnet can win a contest against the gravity of the entire planet. use a magnet to pick up a paper clip and bear witness!
