Ok I give up....fuck rockwool....it doesn't work worth a fuck in combination with hydroton in my Cap ebb n grow system. I had all kinds of problems in the beginning of my first grow with it and thougt it was just because I set it too low in the hydroton so now in my second grow I have spent two weeks trying to get it right and I'm done! FUCK ROCKWOOL!
I'm going to netpots with neoprene inserts. I just peeled away all he rockwool and transfered my clones over.
Two weeks in and it's actally day 1 again..... Oh did I mention that I lost 3 clones in the process and am nursing a fourth back to health in my new bubble cloner.....FUCK!

Did you pre-soak your rockwool in PH'd water before using it? I've been using rw for many years, and never had a problem.

Are you pretreating the rockwool? I know its not the most forgiving medium but I love rockwool almost as much as soil or coco. Many growers would swear by rockwool ;)

i find that rockwool works great as long as you use nothing bigger then a starter cube , i like to use half a starter cube

I bought these clones at a dispensary, I didn't clone them myself. The fucking rockwool just stays too wet for my liking.

Rzza, I'm not talking about cloning here, I'm talking about transfering the clones to my ebb n flow system. I have buckets of hydroton that I'm transfering too and I can't find a happy place for the rockwool cubes that the clones came in......They either get too much water or not enough....

So i hate rockwool also!!!!!! killed a shit load of my babies, i use oasis now and havent lost a single one!!! try it :) good luck

Sounds to me like you are not pre-treating your rockwool for 2+ hours for the small clone blocks and up to 24 hours like it says you are supposed to.

I'm not the biggest fan of it either though. I hate the dust that gets everywhere.

haha to everyone that caught my hilarious error : when i noticed i f'ing died laughing. Showed my fiancee and my best buddy too cuz i was laughing so damn hard :) But yea i deffinately meant coco as ive never attempted growing in cock before ;)

(really thought i caught it before too many noticed....GUESS NOT!! :))
