I cant be the only person to have wanted something else, be it for a good reason or that they were iply influenced by a childhood star or whatnot..

..but who else has often wanted to talk with a different accent? For me, i would love to speak with a white mans South African accent, i can't get enough of it. It is rather seriously awesome in my mind! :)

..and i'll take my lady with an Irish accent please :D i guess that can be the part B to the question, what accent would you like to have your lass or ya man to have?

i grew up in the boston area and had the thick bostonian accent, i moved to dallas in my sr. year of high school and went through pure hell getting ragged on for the way i talked. so i guess i would of liked to had a neutral accent, it would of saved me from handing out a few ass whippings to texans that thought i was a pansy for the way i talked.

I was kinda meaning foreign accents not local dialects. Texan is not new yorkish but it's still american :p#

I can dig russian though :D

My girl is scottish and i fucking LOVE the accent.

As for myself, i've never really wanted a different accent. I'm fine with my normal dull american voice haha. Although i guess if i had to pick, that scottish accent would come in handy given my circumstances i'm sure. haha

Brad Pitts accent in "Snatch"..... Irish traveler/ Pikey "Gammon" so you only get 1/2 of what I am saying.

I currently have just a little of my Boston accent left, moved to Colorado at 13 and it mostly comes out with beer. I can not understand my 75 year old father at all on the phone and miss alot of what he says in person, hardcore Billerica Masshole accent he has.

That South African Dutch accent sounds so Professional Hunter ish - they just sound like they know what they are doing in the bush.
Being born in the UK myself - I don't have the accent, however I love John Cleese.
Do I get to stay in the cool guy club?
