Hey guys just a quick lil update cause it is 3:30am right now. Plant is looking good. Roots are looking white. I am still using frozen water bottles switching them out about once a day if not twice a day. Any ways she is really going crazy with growth. I have not got the net back on there yet due to me being lazy and high as fuck. But what can i say I am a stoner. I will probably do it tomorrow when I get done mowing the grass. Any ways tell me what you guys think of that babe. STAY HIGH!!!:blsmoke::blsmoke:021.jpg023.jpg020.jpg

Nicely done, Love the single plant scrog idea, I too have been contemplating an idea, and this one seems to be a great one. Secondly, check out heisenbergs thread, if you have not already. no more frozen bottles, slime free from here on out if used properly. His thread is the only reason I went dwc, I was to worried about the slime, and ph problems that go along with it. currently on my 4th dwc plant, water temps 72+ and slime free. Extremely helpful. link --> https://www.rollitup.org/dwc-bubbleponics/361430-how-breed-your-own-beneficial.html +rep:leaf:

Hey man thanks for swinging by.. As for Heisenbergs thread. I have read the whole thing and LOVE THE INFO. The only thing is I am going through a really broke stage in my life right now. (father passed away and I got all his old bills to pay). Not bitching just saying. And I dont have enough extra cash right now to grab the three ingredients to make the tea. But as soon as I get about and extra 50 bux that is my plan. Thanks again for stopping by. REP+

it can be a nice chunk of change upfront, although, you can easily make a 'cheaper' less diverse tea from a regular old compost(free if u compost), earth worm castings, or just the ancient forrest. Without the zho, or aquashield. I dont add zho or aquashield to the tea after the roots are well established. all in all, airstone, three handfuls of just ancient forrest in a nylon sock, teaspoon of food for the bennies, will do the trick. $10-20. may your father rest in peace.:leaf:

Your plants are looking good, these are my Blackjacks on day 50 of flowering.............still a few weeks to go:) Good luck on your grow, ill be checking in to see how they turn out, Enjoy

Wow Matt those are some beauties you got going on there. I have grown blackjack in the past. And then was hit with the news about my father and couldnt make it to the girls while they were in dire need of a rez change. When I finally made it to the girls 4 days later they were completly dried up and dead. They were looking alot like yours but they went through a much bigger flower stretch phase than it seems you went through. What type of lights were you using for veg and what are you using now?? Thanks man. Also how long did you veg those girls out for? STAY HIGH!!!

basically the same thing goes on as you would with the ancient forrest. Ill see if I cant find the exact info where I read it, it was a past urban gardner mag, about organics indoors. One thing I can tell you about home made compost is that it needs to reach a certain temperature, aerated regualrly, to decompose evenly, only to ensure a good compost. you dont want to introduce any bad critters, mold etc..

Found it- not word for word, but you want a source of humus. compost, worm castings, (cheap) or ancient forrest(basically a mix of the two, and is more diverse in specific benie's) are examples of a humus source. From there out, just follow heisenbergs recipe *without the zho or aquashield.

Must say though, I have never made tea from compost. I know its possible and many people do. I just dont want to take the chance and introduce anything unwanted to the room.:leaf:

Thank you, and im sorry to hear the news about your father.
I use a 400w MH for veg and a 400w lumitek HPS for flowering.
I veg about 5 weeks from seed-sprout, or untill all plants show sex (veg 18/6 light cycle)
Plants are topped for 4 or 6 main colas using the Uncle Bens topping method.
The buds feel dense and heavy, as I had to tie up a few to keep them from breaking the stem.
I am hoping they are finished about 9-1-11, or maybe a week after.
I cut off a few smaller buds yesterday and have them water curing (first time trying it) in order to see how the HIGH is right now. My last grow AK-48 I let them go a bit long (more amber tricombes) and the high is a K.O punch to the face, Im trying for a more uppy social high this time.
Thanks: Stlmatt
Good luck, and ill be watching

Hey man thanks for the info... I never knew if I was going to actually use that compost barrel. I was actually thinking about putting it on craigslist here soon. I am going to do a bit more reasearch on it and see if I can get a real good recipe for that stuff. And if I cant figure that out I know that I can make some real good compost soil and just do a compost grow if I wanted to. Any ways thanks again for the info. REP+

Hey man thanks for your condolences. It has deffenitly been a rough last few months. As for your girls like I said before they are beauties. Sounds like I am doing just about the same grow as you except you had four Under 400w while I will have one under 150w so it works out about the same. And mine is hydro. So I hope to get results at least close to yours. Thanks again for the info. STAY HIGH!!!
