Feliz 250 Watt CFL Grow Light Reviews Please?

Ive always been under the impression that Feliz CFL grow lights were good quality and performed great, however, I just ran across a thread where a guy posted that he is using two 250 watt Feliz CFL's and the results are terrible. I'm aware it could be something completely unrelated to the lights that's causing his problems but I would like to get some user feedback regarding the Feliz 250 Watt CFL's in particular. Has/is anyone using these lights and what results are you experiencing? I recently found this AWESOME DEAL on a Feliz 250 Watt 8U CFL Grow Light W/Reflector and was wondering why they are so cheap???? Maybe there is something to that guys post about them not producing good results and that's why they are lowering the price, so ANYONE with any experience with these CFL's PLEASE chime in. Thanks for your time.

I'm not using that specific brand of bulb, but I am using two Maxibright 125W CFL bulbs, and I'm stoked with the results of my first two grows, and of my current grow.

I don't think that the package you linked to is all that cheap - $100 for a bulb and a reflector... I think you could find a similar deal elsewhere on the internet. In your position, I would try to get more bulbs of lower wattage to spread around the plant, rather than having one big bulb at the top. Also, the 6500K is good for vegging, but not ideal for flowering.

So you are getting these results with only two 125 watt cfl's? No other supplemental lighting?

If you are achieving these results in a small space with only two overhead cfl's then I'm pretty confident that I will also as I will be using the same or higher watt cfl's overhead as well as supplemental cfl's on the sides? I will also be using led or induction or maybe a combo of all three, depends on my funds as always, lol.

Ive searched online and those bulbs go for around $120 just by them selves W/O reflector, if you can find an equal or better deal then the one I linked to I give you props my friend but I think you might find it harder than you anticipate. As for the color temp of the bulbs I'm completely aware that 6500K is for vegging because that's what my plants are doing right now, once they get to my liking I will switch over to a 2700K for flowering but thanks anyways.

Yeah, that lady is growing/flowering under two overhead 125W CFLs. I wish I had a slightly larger cab so I could add side lighting, but I just don't have the space in my current setup. I can't really complain, though, because I'm totally stoked with the results I've gotten with the two overhead CFLs as the only light source. If you're planning on using more light, you should have great results. I'm especially interested in the results you'll get using LED lighting.

Maybe I have my prices a little wrong - I live in the UK and therefore deal in GBP, not USD, but I did a quick google search and found similar bulbs (I think) to the one you posted for around $70. Is this the kind of bulb you're looking for? Granted, no reflector, but you can buy one separately, or make your own to save money.

Do you already have an LED light? Those are super expensive. I have a friend who is currently saving up to buy a 240W Blackstar. Can't wait to see what kind of buds grow under that light.

so in other words, I dont think the price is that cheap. You just found a good site that offers around the best prices. I am more than pleased and I am about to flower soon. 9/3 my plants will go to flower.

So what's the deal with these bi-spectrum CFL bulbs? Half the bulbs tubes are 6500k and the other half are 2700K so you only have to use one bulb during both veg and flowering cycles? I was under the impression that you want to use strictly 6500K light (simulating summer days) during veg and 2700K light (simulating fall/winter) during flowering to produce the best results??? Dose a plant benefit from 2700K light during veg and 6500K light during flowering or is there some kind of combined benefit when using the two together??? (other than not having to change bulbs, obviously, lol)
I was at my LHS (local hydro shop, lol, if your into RC you'll get the humor) where they now have dual arc HID bulbs which are HPS and MH in one bulb, I thought that was pretty cool but dose it REALLY work better than just using them separate??? I don't have an answer to this but the employee said the 600 watt HPS/ 400 watt MH (both in one bulb, WOW, exciting times) dual arc bulb definitely has promise and has actually been getting some very positive feedback so far. So, who has experience in this area and what are your comments, suggestions, feedback etc?????

I've shared these pics a few times now. I vegged under 17 26W CFL's 6500-5000K (combo) But I surrounded the plants.
My setup was horribly complex, and therefore not the best way, but it can easily be simplified. Here's my setup, and the results I got from it.

You could try something to this effect, but using reflectors setup lower, and several Y socket adapters.

Ok, so here's the complexity of it. It was totally not simple, and any really experienced grower would probably laugh at it. But the light coverage it gave me was incredible. And it really made a huge difference having lights surrounding them.



Here are some shots from my first weed putting them into flower, I used a 42W CFL with 2300K color temp to help transition them to their new light spectrum and phase of life.
THIS is the beauty I got from that sort of coverage.



Lastly, this is how beautiful they were about the 2nd week of flower, when I switched them over to the HPS and setup my CFL's as veg lights in my secondary room.

Because I did. I spent 140$ and got better lighting for flower. But I still used my CFL's for veg cycle.

As I said before. I never took the time to simplify the setup like I should have, but the coverage was incredible and gave me incredible results for CFL's.
