Im still new but I have like 12 different strains under my belt, I have many that did good but a few that were hard to grow. Lets here what strains to stay away from.

I'm sure with proper knowledge these strain would do well but these are my bad ones.

Aurora Indica: bugs love this plant, super small plant low yield, hard to clone
PPP: all together just sickly, hard to germ

Just my two cents so please don't take this wrong. If you are still what you consider yourself a new grower, there are many strains which are difficult to grow properly. You have 12 strains under your belt but how long growing? I believe that if you were to spend more time with each strain you would find they aren't as hard to grow as you might think they just don't fit into a custom feed program. What I mean by this it that if you are using some of these scheduled nute programs these plants just might not fit that program.
You might call me a slow grower, meaning that anytime I grow a new strain I grow it out first single cola with my standard soil and nutes. Watching the plant grow and respond to what it is given and looking for hints of what it might be missing in its' diet. Your soil might be too hot for a strain or really lacking in something each strain needs more of. I clone this first plant of the strain as early as I can so that I have another plant of same strain following closely behind the first, this gives me a point of reference and make the necessary adjustments for the new grow. By the 3rd or 4th time through a strain you can begin to understand what makes it grow to its' potential.
Hope this helps some, good look with all of your grows.

Arjan Haze #3: Takes way too long to finish, even for a sativa-dom. Doesn't yield much, and the weed is not very potent.

Greatly put my friend....good explanation and i agree to the teet. +rep. for spreading constructive ideas. Although i agree in principal, in practice...i tend to top all my first strains once...going for the two cola style.

here's another, auto white widow, yea it was done in 7 weeks from seed and the smoke was fire but at an eighth per plant max and 20 bucks a seed I wouldn't try it ever again. I knew right away people would start cutting me down saying I don't know how to grow, I never said i was pro just wanna help new growers so they dont waste time with hard to grow strains. I thought RUI was to help people and to get help not try to make people feel dumb. If these people here were such good growers they wouldnt be uptight, they would be baked...just my 2 cents

i think the middle finger in your avatar puts off a bad vibe lol. no one said you dont know how to grow. i got 50+ strains under my belt...some plants if given a second chance can prove themselves. meeting the needs of each individual plant is insane and takes lots of time devoted to gardening....the person taht claims to do this probably doesnt have a job, or that is his/her job. i find a happy medium, thus some strains dont perform as well as they could in someone elses setup.

I don't think that anyone is up tight here about growing and no one said that you didn't know how to grow. Some strains as aeviaanah pointed out among others are hard to grow no doubt, what I was trying to say among others is that switching off strains often when not fimiliar with a strain makes it harder to grow your plants properly. Hey I am all for growing lots of strains currently have about 7 going myself (my full time job I am retired), but I grew them out seperately and grew them all several times before adding a new strain.
I consider myself a pretty fair grower, I am here to help people by passing on what I have learned over many many years of growing plants, not just the girls but earning a living with a nursery and a farm. I wish to see everyone grow and to be the best their time will allow them to be in this pursuit. Sorry if I ruffled any feathers, certainly not my intentions.
Happy Growing to all.

you cant tell if a strain is good or bad buy just growing 1 or 2 seeds , not even from a whole 10 pack ,
you might have to pop 50 or 100 seeds to find 1 keeper pheno of that strain

Worst strains i've encountered as of late... Cheesel from Big Buddha, Cali Hash Plant from attitude freebee, and heavy duty fruity which couldn't be contained.

I had gotten a church freebee about a year ago and it germed with no problem about a month ago. She starting to get big.

ill call you out cary! i bet the reason you go through so many stains is in fact that you cant grow and think the strain is just bunk because you cant grow med quality budz!

or your genetics are bunk and you should stick to the ones you seem to be able to grow half assed

i really enjoyed my Jack the Ripper last year - i'm sorry yours didn't work out..
i have one to add to the list Black Label: Master Kush cannot be grown outdoors in most places because it goes way too long and the buds are the worst pot i have had in a long time - perhaps partly because they had snow on them by the end of their budding.. but, the buds were nasty and scraggly, besides being frozen..
