Ok I found this other grow website talking complete trash about Rollitup. Look at it.

i know that a lot of people on other forums look down on riu for what ever reason.. the ... it's a site filled with newb's asking the same old questions ....one is one that comes up a lot...
it is true kind of though... riu has one of the biggest members list of any grow site out there, so obviously there's going to be a lot of newb's on here.. but there's also a lot of older growers who have been around for years here as well.. being one of the largest membered sites on the net, we're going to have a lot of every type of grower on this site for sure..
i also think that a lot of people who start off on forums start off on riu and for whatever reasons, may move on to another forum, and once they do, a lot of them think that riu is now a joke, and forget about all they learned here before they moved onwards and upwards in their eyes..
i know i started on here and grasscity, but i hated grasscity, so i left and came here.. i'm also a member on idk, maybe four or five other grow sites atleast, if not a few more.. i frequent maybe three or so daily, but riu is where i'm mostly at..
it seems that a lot of other sites you sit around all day waiting for someone to post. ... riu is almost always active and you can find something to read or argue about, lol.. not so much at other spots, so i think they always try to take a dig at us to make their selves look and feel better..
the worlds full of tons of people who don't feel good about themselves unless they're making someone else look or feel bad about themselves.. what can you do..

Lol Tony I just now looked at your profile picture. I've been up all night so I'm thinking a little slow at the moment. Funny shit. Yeah though I noticed this site has alot of members and alot of newbs posting dumb questions. I used to frequent another grow site a few years back when I was growing my first plant out doors and I noticed people who asked dumb or not so thought up questions on the other forum got ragged on. Haha kind of funny but mean at the same time. One thing I can say about myself though, is I never asked dumb questions. I have a friend who grows both indoors and outdoors so I had a bit of knowledge to start out with.

I originally was poking my head into GrassCity, but than found RIU and joined here. Immediately, I was befriended by 2 "veteran" growers who took this noob under their wing and showed me the ropes. I was never made to feel like an asshole or ignorant for asking any questions or advice. I agree, probably 80-90% of the questions asked, can be answered with a little search effort....My grow mentor Chickengutz told me he's been to all the sites and overall.......RIU is tops. He said most of the other sites are filled with so much mis-information about growing by teenagers who think they're all that....but really don't know SHIT! Peace

you know, with people talking shit about us over at Planet Skunk... it sure makes me want to open up a special perl script... and revert back to my Windows 3.1 and prior days.. back when I was causing a lot of damage to remote computers and other "things".

they really should watch who they talk about..

they're running Apache web server.. which is incredibly vulnerable. In fact, I know of a current exploit that includes all versions of Apache.. and their are NO patches for it yet..

may just have to take a look at that later tonight. ya never know..

I doubt it will be the kind of traffic we want, April. Most likely some idiots will come by to talk a little trash then go back to their skunk forum. I recently moved to a school district in the city not too long ago so I can't grow as of now. I wouldn't post photos of my lovables anyways ... living in this jack off of a state. Within a 2 year scale though I'm packing my shit and moving to Colorado and getting my medicals license and Rollitup will be the site I will be posting grow journals on to keep my grows backed up.

Look how busy toke and talk is? Basically its alot of stuff you would normally find in a chatroom. I could see there being chats for toke n talk.
With that said, the forum allows us to take our time and lives our lives and still keep up a conversation, not to mention Spamming would easily be a hell of alot worse then it is now.

I think that the reason behind peeps disliking RIU comes down to the moderation and how it is handled or has been handled.

THAT is the difference i have noticed between here and other sites.
